...and those who ardently defend sleaze and immorality very often do so because for them such behavior is the norm and readily endorsed lest they might also be swept up...

Georgia high school students win $3 million settlement against sheriff

Quote:

According to the suit, deputies "touched and manipulated students' breasts and genitals" and "inserted fingers inside girls' bras." The suit also alleged that the searches revealed the students’ body parts.
They probably just could not resist all of those little breast and searching for all they were worth :o

Here's a case in point of a high-moralizing politician who gets caught literally with his pants down, but with a twist:

A Republican 'Family Values' State Legislator Quits After Having Sex With a Man in His Office --

This comes as a surprise to many constituents, because Goodman has consistently spoken about "natural marriage" being between a man and a woman. His campaign website, which is now offline, outlined his views on family: "Healthy, vibrant, thriving, values-driven families are the source of Ohio's proud history and the key to Ohio's future greatness. The ideals of a loving father and mother, a committed natural marriage, and a caring community are well worth pursuing and protecting."

Goodman’s twitter bio describes him as: “Christian. American. Conservative. Republican. Husband to @Beth1027.” His tweets are protected and his account is private. His Facebook page has been taken offline.
I do feel sorry for his wife and family...

Hey I wore cute green shorts to work in 1981 and this gorgeous bird rubbed my leg vigorously. I enjoyed it a lot, but do you think I ought to report her for inappropriate touching? I'm guessing she'd be about 72 now but she needs to at least apologise, right?

You're just upset because she stopped!!!:yep:

I guess there is a level where people feel entitled and isolated from the normal rules.

Perhaps that is the solution -- we need to stop treating these "senior" people differently.

A little while ago we had our corporate board of Trustees visit our facility. One would have thought the pope was visiting.

We had to have people stationed by every door as the Trustees simply did not open doors for themselves. We had to have people stationed at the elevator as pushing the button and waiting (only a three story building) for the elevator was verboten.

We had to have facilities remove the protective bollards so that the limos... yes limos!! could drive over the sidewalk just a few feet from the door....which of course was held open.

I was not present so I don't know if anyone was scattering rose petals and incense.

This was just a board of trustees for a relatively small and really unimportant FFRDC and they were treated like this.

I can only imagine how these executives from large corporations and senior government officials are treated every single day.

No wonder they don't feel that their behavior is governed by the same standards as the "little people'.

Eichhörnchen 11-17-17 11:01 AM

To be honest, I'd just left the place and gone back for quick a visit with a mate to leer at the women (we did a lot of that kind of thing.... but no touching, you understand)
