Hello Admiral Lutjens,
I can see your first problem straight away. That 100_FalloftheSun_Ultimate_v8... folder needs to be in the MODS Folder. So copy that folder first into the JSGME folder, then open the 100_FalloftheSun_Ultimate_v8... folder and make sure you see this inside: https://i.ibb.co/5KnrYBX/Capture1.png Then try again with JSGME please. I will check into the files though again, and make sure I haven't missed a Type= line that doesn't agree with the Class= line... :salute: |

Admiral Lutjens, after you activate Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate with JSGME, what does your "E:\Steam \SteamApps \Common \Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\" folder look like? You should see "Data, Extras, MODS, RegistrationReminder, Resources, Support" folders, plus a bunch of files.
Also, which of the Silent Hunters are you trying to mod? If you open the "Data" folder under the game folder, at the bottom of the list of folders inside of "Data", is there a "UPCDataGE" folder? In other words, be certain of which version you are applying the mod to, and which one you are starting. The Steam menu may not help you much there. I don't know. I have no idea what it would show for the Uboat missions add-on version. Be sure you're not trying to mod the "plain" v1.3 of the game... Actually, what are all of the "Silent Hunter..." folders you have under the "Steam \SteamApps \common" folder?? :salute: |
NEW BUG
I have been getting double ICONs on and above the water for the submarines position. One will be normal and the other floats above the surface and will move away when moving the camera around. |

I just did a new clean installation, started a new career and I have been wondering if there is a way to use faster tc then 2048 ? Thanks for any help. :Kaleun_Salute:

2048 TC is way enough to get troubles :D That’s only my humble advice :salute: |

In your SH4 folder where the saved games and career info/game preferences are stored, such as in "My Documents", you will see a "data" folder. Open it and then open the "cfg" folder. In there is a "main.cfg" file. Open that with Notepad and change the maximum TC to whatever you want. I set mine to 8192 because my rig can handle it. You may want to consider backing up the original "main.cfg" file first by copying it to a new file named Main.cfg.BU or somesuch. Good luck! :Kaleun_Salute: |

@ Admiral Lutjens: :hmmm: -Everything looks good... Use JSGME and de-activate the FotRSU mod, and try to run the game. It should start fine in Stock trim. On the menu, after you have the video set the way you want, try to start a Quick Mission, and see what the game does when you get into the boat itself, and are in the 3D world of the game. If it fails, then do another re-install of the game, and be sure and install the DirectX v9.0c that comes with the game. If it does run fine, then something is happening with the activation of the mod. It almost sounds like Windows is rolling the changes back. Do you have Win8 or Win10 there? Is it a 64-bit version of the OS? When you created that "E:\" drive, did you format it as NTFS?
What I am suspecting though, is that you might have issues with the current install, from the previous mod attempts. I had trouble with my SH5 and the TWoS mod, and could not get it to go on my laptop. I tried a couple of re-installs of SH5 from Steam, but Steam apparently does not do a "full" check of the files. It just looks to see if they are there. If they are, then it passes over them. I first tried "Clear download cache" (which took ~forever~ once I logged back into Steam), but it didn't get it to where the game could run. Next, after I was logged out of the Steam Client, I deleted the data in the SH5 install folder. There are several files that do not delete, since they're "locked", but I went one folder at a time (I do not remember where the "locked" files were) and got most of them deleted. Then I went into the Steam Client on my computer, logged back in, selected the game on the menu, right-clicked it and chose "Properties", then used the "Local Files" tab and clicked on the "Verify integrity of game files" button. It found "errors" finally, and re-downloaded the full game (which took a while - again!), and it worked after that. I don't know if you will end up with that, but you might have to, if the game install was trashed. Let us know though if it will completely load a Quick Missions scenario in the Stock version. :salute: |
