The pressure from businessses on both sides of the channel but towards the leaders on each side.

European and UK business leaders have told Prime Minister Theresa May of their Brexit concerns.
At a meeting in Downing Street on Monday, representatives from groups including the CBI and BusinessEurope pressed for a transitional deal that preserves the status quo after Brexit.
The CBI chief, Carolyn Fairbairn, said all those at the meeting reiterated the damage "no deal" would do to trade.
A German lobby group also warned that no deal would cost their economy dear.
The head of the German chambers of commerce, Martin Wansleben, told a newspaper the car industry alone would face annual tariffs of more than €2bn if trade between the UK and the EU falls under World Trade Organisation rules.

May Vs Corbyn

PMQ's time..

Old Jezzer's roller coaster ride at the top came back down today. I will give him credit for effort but in the end PM May wearing her big old dog collar deflected a number of Jezzer's attempted blows.

May 4 - Jezzer 1

Theresa May is to hold Brexit discussions with the president of the EU Council as the UK seeks to move talks on to a new trade deal.

I could well be wrong but I can't see much coming of this.

Mrs May - All went well and looking good.

EU - UK is wasting time and clearly has no plan.

Jimbuna 11-17-17 08:24 AM

EU - Give us your money and then we'll talk trade.

Mrs May - Bugga off!!

David Davis has said the EU must be willing to give ground too if further progress in Brexit talks is to be made.
He told the BBC the UK has "been offering some creative compromises and not always got them back", insisting that "nothing comes for nothing".

Arguably the most sensible thing he has said since the talks began.

The EU has a royal flush and the UK has a bluff the EU knows about.

Theresa May has been told she has two weeks to put more money on the table if the EU is to agree to begin Brexit trade talks before the end of the year.

There are a growing number of members (Holland included but only mentioned because they are a net contributor) who would like the negotiations on trade to commence.

Soon will come the test regarding the opinions of Sky and myself.

I believe Germany and France dictate the tune but Sky will be quick to remind me the majority (net receivers) outnumber them both.

I appreciate any single country can veto everything but the time is fast approaching when push will or must come to shove.
