Actually the five episodes was all they did. It's a complete storyline. The 10-episode fourth season, though...lets just say it's the best by far.

And I disagree on the first two. I thought they were brilliant.

Couple episodes into the next, and that's when I realized the new format, which I love.

But I think "brilliant" is a stretch. They felt like cliche sci-fi episodes, or maybe it was because the show had no direction yet, we had characters, and a background, but no direction to a storyline.

Children of Earth is one of my favourite stories set in the DWU :D

This morning over breakfast I re-watched the Season 2 episode 'Adam'. I thought it was positively terrifying what a person with that kind of ability could do. Extremely well played. And I felt a lot of character development only a couple of episodes ago when Rhys found out the truth. :yep:

Watched the new Christmas special 'The Return of Doctor Mysterio' last night. A nice bit of lighthearted fun, with a superhero and a female reporter with the initials 'LL'.

Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi to leave sci-fi show this year

Steve fancy ago at being the new Dr Who? :)

Jimbuna 02-02-17 07:45 AM

He'd probably be far better than Peter Capaldi was :03:

Gargamel 02-02-17 02:15 PM

Bah! I loved capaldi as the doctor! Now, I'm not too familiar with the earlier doctors, but of the modern era, IMO, he's the best one. Yeah, he had a rough start, but he had such a "mad scientist" feel rather than a "lunatic with a time machine" the rest seemed to have.

Rhodes 02-02-17 02:44 PM

Steve could do it and after 3 years run he would regenerate to Jimbuna. Also a good choose to do the role, but still young for it now!:03::O:

@Gargamel: well, yes. I also like when he was announce, since I thought that they would go to a more serious note, but they didn't and he suffer for poor and terrible scripts. Possible a new 3 doctors with Tennant, Smith and him would be nice (besides what that concept carries), after he leaves the show.

So, daleks (always good) and human dalek? ok... And a original cyberman? Hmmmm

Rhodes 04-16-17 09:51 AM

So, Happy Easter and etc to every one. And now, what do you all think of the first eps of the last season of the 12th Doctor?

I liked it, with all the jokes and nostalgia (props, pics and jokes). The final minutes were a bit meh for me. But got the feeling that trhis episode was far better than the other 2 seasons :o!

Season trailer: hmmm, original cybermen, nice. A nostalgic enemy; long overdo, I think.
