Charming.

Simply adds weight to the theory a growing number of Brits hold...it is all about money, ours not theirs.

As I understand it the Government has scrapped the target because they said they will be borrowing more over the years. :hmmm:

UKIP suffers another blow at local level.

Quote:

Seven Great Yarmouth UKIP councillors defect to Tories

A group of UKIP councillors have defected to the Conservative Party to give the Tories control of a council.
Seven of the 12 UKIP councillors on Great Yarmouth Borough Council have crossed the divide, giving the Tories 21 out of the 39 council seats.
One of the seven movers, Kay Grey, said that after the EU referendum "many voters feel this is UKIP's job done".

Wonder what their new leader thinks of this. :hmmm:

May Vs Corbyn

PMQ's time..

Jezer feeling good will he finally smash the guts out of that useless PM or will she hit back giving Jezzer a good old spanking?

More to follow

Nice one Dennis Skinner, that's the way to do it Jezzer.

PM May faltering a bit with her words over TAX.

Jezzer is prodding and PM May has woken up.

Oh dear PM May is running out of steam and Jezzer smells victory, here it comes..

Oh my PM May has slipped up saying its all Labour's fault we have to pay back countries world wide. What a load of rubbish, don't tell me the Tories don't borrow money from around the world.

Well I be old Jezzer has won for the third PMQ's running!

May 0 - Jezzer 1

The Electoral Commission says it is investigating whether ex-UKIP donor Arron Banks broke donation rules during the EU referendum.
The probe will look at whether the Leave.EU chairman broke the rules over donations or loans made to campaigners.
It will also look at Better for the Country Ltd, a company of which Mr Banks is a registered director.

Having watched PMQ's I'd have to disagree.

Everything Coprbyn threw at may was counter-punched with good effect and the reaction of either sides backbenches tended to add weight to the toory side.

All Corbyns magical cures amount to one thing....extra borrowing and no suggestions as to who and how it will be repaid.

PM May keeps using the same old statements which tells me she and her party are running out of steam. How many more times are we going to hear "the last labour government" being used, for cripes sake that was over seven years ago! The country delivered a message to the Tories get your act together at the last general election.

I am not saying old Jezzer is the answer but he could win on the grounds the country is fed up with the in fighting in the Tory party and making a right mess of Brexit. When PM May came out with that stupid comment Labour borrow around the world come on Tories borrow as well and that is a point handed to Jezzer.

PM May own robotic auto answers to old Jezzer are boring the voter. A friend of mind is a hard line Tory and he tells me Mrs May is on course as it stands to loose the next general election. I asked who can replace her? His answer none of that lot on the front bench, what of Boris I ask, answer I get, you are kidding right.

I see the same on the Labour front benches, seems to me both party's are in trouble and both know it. Yes it could be possible from now to the next general election one of them is going to take the big gamble which could pay off.

Remember the voter votes out the government not vote them in.

I am a swing and some times a non voter who has no loyalty to any party. Everyone should be the same, that would make things more interesting.

Jim has a big grin on his face. :D

Is this good news? No, the economy is still bouncing along on the floor and with this rise bills will go up and with inflation at 3% savers will not see anything positive. Worst still the real reason for the rise the BoE was very worried about public borrowing and as pointed out from experts this rise now allows the BoE to put it back to where it was if the economy goes no where.
