Your choice. But I don't believe in downloading a full mod for 6 DSD files.
Yes. You did update the full DL and that's cool.
For those who already had the RC1? The 6 little files were all that was needed. Me? I found and fixed all 6 in less then 5 minutes.

odd graphic

Not good at posting pics but there is a piece of something, maybe my sub just off my starboard and it appears to be fixed to the motion of my sub. I am just leaving pearl in a Gato. I have .80 RC2 loaded (though loading screen says RC1). I had deleted the old 80 and uninstalled sh4 then reinstalled it and downloaded RC2. I am leaving pearl for Manilla for a 5 day patrol. I can see it from the bridge but not the external camera.

It never has, and never will......it's a Stock game thing.

By the way I can never get LAA to work properly. Part of its exe window doesnt show and there is never a save button.

This morning, I found the compressed picture of how LAA was for you; I can not find your picture from this morning at present time.

I remember seeing the compressed picture where all functions and the save button was unavailable. I do remember spotting the dots in the lower right hand corner, too. Dots are important.

Attachment 2715

If you take your mouse cursor and click and pull down/and to right at the dots (red arrow), your LAA program should show the same as mine. My attached picture shows the basic view. Intermediate and advanced views are available, too.

recognition manual

I haven't figured out how the search command works, and I've been searching for information about the recognition manual in the latest FOTRS. It basically seems to refer me to 1200 threads. Anyway, the recognition manual command doesn't work for me. Any ideas?
Thanks

You have to have the target LOCKED in order for the ID command to work, also, for the mast height to be sent to the TDC. Lock the target.

... and it's easier to search subsim from an external search engine, such as duckduckgo or google or whoever, and use "site:subsim.com/radioroom Search Terms" in their search box, without the quotes, of course, and substituting your own search terms, just to limit my liability in case you blow something up...

Also, if you're trying to use a shortcut key and / or combination, be sure and read the reference card jpegs included in the root folder of the game. They can save you a lot of time and frustration... "SH4_Q-Ref_Card_Back.jpg" and "SH4_Q-Ref_Card_Front.jpg" - CapnScurvy didn't edit those for folks to not look at them... :salute:

Running the latest version, I now have the diesel engine sounds with my Tambor.

However, an old problem as resurfaced - that is the sonar station is locked to everyone but apparently the operator. The dial does not move; the whole screen is inoperative from a user standpoint. We had this problem in an earlier version but I don't remember which one.

Thanks for checking this out.

I have check your report against my game and I do not have any issues operating the sonar on my own in multiple class of boats. I did a couple of versions ago but not now. Did you do a clean install?

Yeah the props are hard coded so you can not mess with them. Shame.

I did try that but to no avail. It just wont open .... down all the way. LOL I used the old 4 gig exe anyway ... it does the same thing.

I won't touch a recognition manual. I was hard coded at birth not to do such a thing when I squirted out of a game file. No I just won't touch it.

With RFB Crash Dive to Periscope Depth was 37 seconds. I'm getting about 50 seconds.

Are you starting with decks awash at 45 feet?

The best I have done so far, in a Balao class, from the surface at 10 knots. I order the crash dive and start the stop watch at the same instant. When passing 29 to 34 feet, order periscope depth and engines to 1/3. I was at a stable 60 feet in 64 seconds. I was still making 9 knots though. Slowing to 4 knots would take additional time. I suppose one could order all back emergency to slow down instead of ahead 1/3.

be mindful of when you back engines because that will stop the dive.
good luck.
