“It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.”
But the best are in the Bilge ...at :subsim: where deranged 'mancaving' is a considered... a verb!

Maybe. :)

I like the one on art, as I recall it goes like this..The function of art is to hold a mirror up to nature and there simply isn't a mirror big enough there for there is no art.

One in the eye for the poncy art world. :har:

I found U a JOB! Hedgehog Officer

U were complaining about unemployment: (how close is Ipswitch) http://mentalfloss.com/article/82609/job-alert-become-uk-hedgehog-officer salary of about $31,300! There are now four hedgehog-officer slots around the country, with more expected, along with a platoon of hedgehog doctors, 800 hedgehog rehabilitators and untold numbers of hedgehog foster parents.https://si.wsj.net/public/resources/...0817151535.jpg< SIR STEED: hedgehog officer!https://si.wsj.net/public/resources/...0816134506.gif http://www.wsj.com/articles/england-is-looking-for-a-few-good-senior-hedgehog-officers-1471444003

Some 150 people applied this summer for a new position as hedgehog officer of Ipswich, with inquiries from as far away as Mexico and Kenya. Duties include turning Ipswich into the “most hedgehog friendly” town in England. What more perfect job could there be than a hedgehog officer?” asks Fay Vass, chief executive of the 11,000-member British Hedgehog Preservation Society. “You spend the day trying to make things better for hedgehogs. What more could you ask for?

Good question, I probably would "like" to have a four-wheel drive and a turbocharged car (like TDI) which is standard in principle, anyway, when it comes to engine like as above, it's common that you know.So if it should be a four-wheel drive, it's a little less of opportunities.:hmm2:

I hope you aren't interested because if you are, your application letter probably won't even get opened.....you've spelled the name of the town incorrectly.

I noticed that too :har:

Ipswitch train station in Jamaica is closed, why would anyone complain about unemployment there? :hmmm:

As for Ipswich in the UK I have no idea.

Damn! there I go; crossing my T's again! Looks like an interesting job though. I had a stint as the de facto game warden on a large airbase as part of the police force there: mostly deer, feral cats wiTch we fed,:O: birds... and an occasional mountain lion and poachers. The puma was a godsend as it finished off a lot of the road-cripple'd deer and cut back the over-breeding population before moving on. The advised Coast Guard resident's kids were of some concern, but if we'd called Fish and Game they would have darted the animal & possibly killed a perfectly good catamount...as has happened in the past. All the officers particularly enjoyed the wildlife on the large mostly overgrown base.

Yes, a Hallberg-Rassy? :hmmm:

Forget about the car and get a boat.
"I should buy a boat". Yes, or at least charter one regularly, at least once a year. :hmmm:
