New Version V15D_BETA4 available.

Bug fixed: CTD when in Museum, reported by Magic1111. So if you don't use the Museum, this update is not necessary for you.

Since there have no other bugs been reported for weeks now,
this version seems to be stable (but I'll anyhow call it beta - you never know).

New: The modded CameraBehavior.act (which is also required), is now contained in a JSGME ready mod.

Maybe it's a good idea to also put the patched sh3.exe in that JSGME mod after patching and enable both files via JSGME.

Thanks h.sie :)

Stupid question: installing this mod for an existing career (while in harbor as usual) should work, yes?

h.sie 12-06-10 06:49 AM

should work! but make backup of your career files.

I haven't noticed anything special in my patrol test, concerning the effect of H.sie repairs, but your two queries have un-nerved me. I shall make some further tests especially for damage.
Have you tested h.sie's patches with NYGM?
Are there safe to use regarding repair times?

Stiebler 12-06-10 03:23 PM

@Dani:

Yes, H.sie's V15D patch seems to be compatible with NYGM's repair times.

In fact, this patch works very well with NYGM.

Stiebler.

h.sie 12-09-10 03:26 AM

People who play NYGM together with patched SH3.exe should contact Stiebler or me, if they have any problems. There seems to be an incompatibility between "my" longer repair times and the special NYGM damage model from Observer.

GWX users are not affected.

Question: In order to make my fixes compatibe to further windows versions (Win7 successors), I have to re-write some fixes, especially the code section responsible for the blur-effect to simulate periscopes vibrations. This only makes sense, if the majority likes this effect. If not, I can save my time.

Thanks for your answers

hi H.Sie ,

i , personally , don't like that effect so my vote is to not include it at your next version (or ,if possible,to be a version without it)

thank you for your efforts

bye

Periscope vibration is not a priority for me, and I think we might eventually find alternative ways of discouraging the player from raising it >4 knots, like damaging it or whatever.

CherryHarbey 12-11-10 05:35 AM

Periscope blur is not a priority for me as I go for the simple "don't raise the scope above 4 knots self discipline mod":DL
I would suggest concentrating on those things that the player cannot fix themselves thorugh their own gameplay.

Periscope vibration

Hello h.sie and others,

I don't like periscope vibrations, and for this reason I don't use the CameraBehavior.act included in your mod.

So, were is the point? If someone don't likes, he must just avoid to install the CameraBehavior.act, no?

Or I have got something wrong?
:06:

Thanks for asking our advice. :yeah:
