I have no problem with bringing Israel to account befor the ICC for the killing of the Al Jezeera newsman...so long has Hamas also surrenders all the rapist murderers who committed crimes against civilians. There can be no 'double standard' before the ICC. Frankly I'd the position the IDF at all known or suspected tunnel exits in Gaza, flood the tunnels completely with seawater and kill everything that comes out. If that means a few more hostage-friendly fire victims, so be it. Israel had actually facilitated the Qatar-cashflow to Gaza; that is a major no no. "Money is the sinews of war"; any money is utilized to exterminate Israel by any means and with no rules...and we thought the 20 century was bad??!:timeout:

Hopefully the US will stay out of it until Israel has accomplished its goals.

Hamas health officials say at least 110 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes in Jabalia in northern Gaza.

There's been no specific comment from Israel, which insists it is targeting what it calls terrorist infrastructure.

Jabalia, part of which is a long-standing refugee camp, is in the north of Gaza - an area where, since the early days of the war, Israel has warned people to leave.

US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin is meeting Israeli officials today, as the UK, France and Germany step up global calls for a ceasefire.

At the UN Security Council, the US is said to be seeking to tone down the words of a new draft resolution calling for a cessation of hostilities.

Hamas broke through Israel's heavily guarded perimeter on 7 October, killing 1,200 people and taking 240 hostages - some of whom were released during a brief truce.

The health ministry in Gaza, which is run by Hamas, says more than 18,700 people have been killed and 50,000 injured in the enclave since the start of the Gaza war.

Hamas officials say at least 20 people have been killed in the southern Gazan city of Rafah after overnight strikes.

Without specifically commenting on the reported incident, the Israeli army says it targeted and killed a "Hamas financier" in Rafah.

The UN Security Council is due to vote later on a new ceasefire motion - reports say the language has been watered down to a "suspension" of hostilities to get US backing.

Meanwhile, the US says 10 countries have agreed to form a coalition to protect merchant shipping in the Red Sea after attacks by Houthi rebels.

The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have been targeting ships they believe are bound for Israel.

Last night, three elderly men who were taken hostage were shown in a new Hamas video. The Israeli military said the video was "despicable"

Hamas broke through Israel's heavily guarded perimeter on 7 October, killing 1,200 people and taking 240 hostages - some of whom were released during a brief truce.

The health ministry in Gaza, which is run by Hamas, says more than 19,400 people have been killed and 52,000 injured in the enclave since the start of the Gaza war.

For a change this time its nice to have elections in the US looming. You cannot afford easily to turn the Jewish vote away.

The leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, has arrived in Cairo for talks on a fresh ceasefire in Gaza.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has said his country is ready for another humanitarian pause.

Efforts to get a United Nations Security Council ceasefire motion are set to resume after Tuesday's vote was delayed.

The US says it is working with other members on the text, but it has vetoed previous resolutions.

Aid agencies have voiced anger and frustration over the continued plight of civilians in Gaza ahead of the vote.

Hamas broke through Israel's heavily guarded perimeter on 7 October, killing 1,200 people and taking 240 hostages - some of whom were released during a brief truce.

Nearly 20,000 people are now reported to have been killed and more than 52,000 injured in Gaza since the start of the war.
