Allrighty, been awake now for a little over two days, most of the time spent on patrol. Anyway, this is what der Zentrale looks like in my boat. Admitedly its a bit of a mess, but ill get right on that after some sleep.

Looks like your all organised there mate http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...s/thumbsup.gif

Knipper 03-21-08 11:54 AM

@CCIP
Well done mate. :rock: As a wrinkly approaching 60 (but not speeding) I've discovered that when you get that 'YAY!' feeling, like you're on your way, things are falling into place and you can't wait to get stuck in, you're on the right road. You're doing what you should be doing, for your own and everyone else's benefit. The goal? Make a living at what you're good at. It sounds simple but it took me years to discover it, but maybe I'm just thick. :yep: If ever you get the chance, have a look at Personal Destinies: The Ethics of Individualism (pub Princeton Press), by Dr David Norton. That sums it up, albeit in a very philosophical way (he was my tutor when I did my PhD - Phil).

@Steed.
Not much advice I could give a man of your years mate except do what I do, put your drink on a side table, not next to your keyboard. My kb's end up smelling like a bar (before eventually packing up). Mind you, if you drink neat vodka when simming and you do happen to spill it on your kb, it has a cleansing effect. It's still a waste of good booze tho ;)

CCIP 03-21-08 12:04 PM

Thanks Knipper! :) I should like to read that, sometimes I do need that reassurance. For me "getting ahead" has always been difficult to wrap my mind around - never even mattered to me cause I've always been too busy chasing my own individual goals and interests. I do hope to teach though, if nothing else - I feel like it's a debt to all the great teachers that got me this far!
Well, the good news - I've already accepted the admission offer and I seem to be on track to defend my Masters thesis by June :D

Hanomag: well if anyone ever looked like a true salty skipper in that Kaleun hat :lol:

good to see others having fun with them photothings :up:

Since everyone likes to post pics of their humble abode I thought I would post my command room:

Command Room Central. As you can see I have a few planes and some cars.

Here are some for the American bird lovers.

The Matchbox collectible planes I got them all but a few:

For some reason I started collecting cars. Don't ask me why.

Sorry for the blurry pics. Three cups of coffee and blood full of nicotine leads to shaky hands.

This is what I drive. Not my actual car in the pic but the same make/model and same color. Different wheels. It is my land fleet boat. As you can see I'm not one for saving gas and going green. I go with 275 horses! I pass everything but the gas station.
