Kaleu. Jochen Mohr,

Hi matey, thanks for you question. Ok this is the file pathway to changing the headdress from not wearing to wearing them;

Ubisoft/SilentHunterIII/data/Cfg

Look for these files
  • crew_config_II_1
  • crew_config_II_2
  • crew_config_II_3
  • crew_config_IX_1
  • crew_config_IX_2
  • crew_config_IX_3
  • crew_config_VII_1
  • crew_config_VII_2
  • crew_config_VII_3
  • crew_config_XXI_1
  • crew_config_XXI_2
  • crew_config_XXI_3
Each crew member will have their own entry, for example;

  • [CREW_MEMBER_0]
    Name=Ernst Bachmann
    Index=5
    NrComp=0
    Type=2
    Grad=6
    Renown=0.000000
    Patrols=0
    Morale=0.800000
    Fatigue=0.000000
    HealthStatus=0
    HitPoints=14.000000
    Experience=300
    Rank=11
    NrQual=1
    Qualification0=0
    Qualification1=1
    Qualification2=2
    SpecialAbility=-1
    MedalsInx0=-1
    MedalsInx1=-1
    MedalsInx2=-1
    MedalsInx3=-1
    MedalsInx4=-1
    MedalsInx5=-1
    MedalsInx6=-1
    MedalsInx7=-1
    MedalsInx8=-1
    HeadIdx=1
    HeadTgaIdx=0
    BodyIdx=0
    BodyTgaIdx=5
    HasHelmet=No ................. [Yes] :up:
    HelmetIdx=0
    HelmetTgaIdx=0
    VoiceIdx=6

Note the red highlighted line, this is where you make your change. Simply change the word "No" to a "Yes". You will have to do this for every entry, there are 12 crew configure files and each has many crew entries.

Once you have made the changes simply select save and close the file and move onto the next.

I warn you this is bloody boring and you will never get thoses minutes/hours back in your life :doh:

I've already made two version :up:
  • GWX 2.0 and
  • SHIII Commander 2.7
They are located on page 24 of this Drive Through and hosted at JCWolf's web site.

I hope this has helped.

Ven;)

Ven:
I just tried your camo uniform and it looks awesome!!! :up:
Congratulations on a very well done job and thank you very much!! :rock:
This camo makes me wonder if it's possible to do the same camo, but with "urban", in this case, "navy" colors, that is with black, grey and dark blue.... :hmm:
Anyway, now we have more than enough uniforms for the crew... :yep:

Have you been looking in my modding volt again :D

I have approximately 8 other uniforms in the volt; all camouflaged and one that has been especially requested by you [information withheld to everyone till release].

Venatore: I'd suggest making a table of contents of this thread and pasting it to your first post. :) It could contain just the mods name and the appropriate post number (link would be great too). That would make browsing your mods here much, much easier, especially for new users who just drop in to see the thread, not looking for something particular. :)

Thanks for your comments

Abd_von_Mumit;

Thanks for your comments this has been asked before and I've tried to stay away from that option for many varying reasons, but the foremost reason is that I'm achieving exactly the same thing but at JCWolf's website.

All the mods are laid out with no comments very easy to locate and see the mods.

But;

I will do as you say because this has been asked on several oceans, it will take me awhile :doh:
