Laura Smith, the Labour MP for Crewe and Nantwich, has called for a general strike to help bring down the Conservative government - if there isn't a general election.
LISTEN UP LAURA SMITH THE COUNTRY WILL NOT STAND FOR ANOTHER GENERAL ELECTION NOW AS WE DO NOT WANT ONE!

Being bereft of any original ideas of their own I should imagine they;re happy to piggyback or steal any parties ideas.

Looking forward to hearing the Corbyn twaddle today but can't help wondering if he would be best suited to give it at the Tory conference :hmmm:

Here we go...

Not much so far.

Winning the public debate? I find that hard to believe.

NHS a shiny beacon! Who are you bloody kidding, both you and the Tories have sent it down the plug hole with your political point scoring off each other.

No more left behind people and community! What a load of tripe, times I have heard this bull from all party's and all of you do nothing.

Long term targets will be met. Yea sure that old chestnut again which we all know is guff.

THE SPEECH OVER ALL.. I found it dull and full of party guff that did nothing for me to vote Labour.

STEED 09-26-18 07:36 AM

So far the LibDems and Labour have not said anything that will make me vote for them. Will the Tories do any better? Don't hold your breath as I have a feeling no they will not.

Not a bad speech actually....saying a lot of the right things but no information how these costly exercises would be paid for.

The usual leftwing/Trotsky twaddle as I predicted a few hours earlier.

Just come in hot off the press so the cheeky bubbers have retained my contact details!!

Jim, Labour is ready.

We're ready to rebuild Britain for the many, not the few.

We're ready to make vital changes for millions of parents and children — providing free universal high-quality childcare. We're ready to give peace of mind and dignity to the older generation — protecting pensions, winter-fuel allowances and bus passes. We're ready to deliver a Green Industrial Revolution that will create jobs, tackle climate change and provide sustainable energy for the future.

We're ready because of people like you, Jim, on the doorsteps and in the town centres, letting people know there is a Labour Party that will stand up for them. Be a part of it:

Join Labour today

Today we met in Liverpool as a Party ready to lead. Next year let us meet as a Labour government. A government finally investing in Britain after years of dereliction, bringing our society together after a decade of division.

A strong society is one that gives all our young people the chance to realise their potential and in which all of us know if our parents need care they will get it.

Our task is to build that Britain and together we can. Join today and build it with us.

Jeremy Corbyn
Leader of the Labour Party

Jeremy Corbyn warned that a no-deal Brexit would be a "national disaster" as he headed for a meeting with the EU's chief negotiator.

The Labour leader is travelling to Brussels alongside shadow Brexit secretary Sir Keir Starmer for the talks.

I wonder if Mr Barnier will feel comfortable meeting for the second time with an individual widely believed to be anti semitic and a supporter of numerous outlawed terrorist organisations> :hmmm:
