UPDATE 7 IS OUT!!
(see end of post #1)

- Re-worked smoke and fire effects
- Adjusted type VIID radar antenna position
- Re-worked all types VII cables rendering
- Adjusted sensors colors (antennas etc)
- Made all radar FUMO antenna not visible underwater
- Adjusted type II B/C/D emblems position
- Adjusted type IX and VII fore dive-plane needle to stay visible
- Adjusted all U-Boats diving speed
- Ability to access hydrophone via clicking on all U-Boats
- Ability to access obs periscope via clicking for type VII
- Ability to access crew/damage management via clicking items for types VII and IX
- Deleted the radio man clicking ability giving out of focus camera
- Adjusted big waves 15m/s (slightly decreased)
- Adjusted sub flag brightness at night
- Corrected type IIB conning deck front compass bearing center beeing rotated
- Fixed the black CO2 gauge in all type IX and the command room compass center bearing
- New compass rose added in nav map

Hope you'll like it!
Should be NOT older saves compatible...best is to start again career.
I think you’ll have some time to play career before future update.
Those previous updates were quite too close out to each others !

what is the proper way to install this new version?

updated....okay poked around and figured it out I think. I thought this was a replacement of om and omegu not an add-on for them.

Small bug to report, with the new update, the fires and smoke on ships are still active, even if the ship is under water.
I tested the new update with a quick war patrol on east coast of US.
Three ships that I sunk are gone to the bottom (shallow waters), but the fires and smoke never stoped.

In the waiting of a fix, you can take the data/library/particules of update 6, and replace the particules of update 7.
This way you should be back with previous fire/smoke effects

Don't worry. There is no hurry, I'll just wait for the patch.

I noticed that some turm emblems have a transparent grayish layer around them. It can be seen in the picture you posted about the emblems and flag glowing in the dark.
Can this be fixed?

Ive got a similar problem that might be solved by your patch but Im not quite sure. On update 6 it just looked like an oil spill that burned forever which I was OK with but now on 7 the smoke comes out as white blocks like its minecraft or something :(

Hopefully the patch fixes this for me, but for now I get to play some more of my Pacific Campaign which isn't so bad :) ty for telling me about this mod, so many things done exactly right

Yes , the emblems are in works to be re-done :up:
You just have to wait...they are so many!

Yes the oil burning is a known bug in SH4...not all the ships have oil nevertheless.
Even if i’m Not sure it can be solved, i’ll see what could be done in a future update :up:

Activate this patch on top of all (you don't have to delete previous update)

Not sure what I am doing wrong. I can get as far as the loading screen that Fifi has in his signature and then it just freezes there. Then I have to task manager cancel it to get out. I find this open box on my desktop that says
file not found: data/menu/karamazov/torp_parts.tga

but I still have that freeze screen and then the same "file not found: data/menu/karamazov/torp_parts.tga" window waiting for me. I noted that you mentioned on post #1 about not overwriting KIUB but I am not sure if I am doing that or not. If they ask to overwrite files I have been saying yes except for when I am adding the Kiub file.
