"Mission completed." - We are on our way to the new base ...

Captain J. Borne 08-28-10 02:19 PM

Below the depth charges. I used the tactic from the Movie U-571. I actually went further down than the movie. @260m, rigged for silent running, deployed decoys,Gained some distance, Ship was hurt, but she held at 260m . Surfaced and a stern torpedo eliminated the target.

Should have taken more pics, but wow im deep.

Surfacing... wow look at that bow.

Should have posted them as jpegs, then those of us with less-than-average connections could see them.

Sorry I assume most people have broadband in which you can see it perfectly. Plus the .png is better quality.

I do have broadband. Unfortunately it's wireless, and the provider isn't the best. Also, .pngs take up four times the bandwidth, which costs money. Pretty is wonderful when you're not paying for it.

I agree they are better than .jpg but, there are still alot of areas in the world that only have dialup, and .jpg's load alot faster for them.

Captain J. Borne 08-28-10 09:50 PM

And I think my 10mbs connection sucks! I will try to transfer jpegs next time.

Now that were past that, lets stay on subject and comment on the picture (if you can see it).

I thought no boat could go 260m - The Vll/2 Does it no problem :P

HW3 08-28-10 10:02 PM

Yes it does, been there myself a time or two.:yep: I wasn't complaining, just explaining. I'm on good cable broadband but, several years ago could only get 14.4 dialup where I lived at that time, so I can understand what those people go through.

Graphics? Sure... But here we talk about the GRITTIER and BEST U-boat sim EVER made. Not for an eye-candy arcade game...
