Hi all and greets from Spain! Sorry for my english, not my native language... I'm newbie here, it's been a very long time since I played SH saga, the last one was SHIII which still have in DVD version, an old but a very great game... When I bought my new PC a few months ago I thought it was time to play SH5, but I was aware that the stock version was so broken, so I first downloaded an "sparrow version" to see if the game runs properly on my computer, I don't like to waste my money. Once tested, I bought the game in Ubi Store for a few euros, a fine price. As I thought, the stock game is awful vwith a lot of bugs, for example my first uboat doesn't sink properly, when I go to periscope depth the boat just remains in a very strange angle, with the bow floating in the surface, sure is a diveplanes bug... But that said, I've installed the OHII mod and man... This and other problems vanished, it's a fantastic job what you've done here. So I just want to say thanks to all the people involved in this mod, without you and other fantastic people a lot of games would be a waste of money and time. I want to play the aclaimed WoS mod but ufff... I'm concerned about how complicated it can be to install it, especially because I have the ubi version too.

To this old captain your English sounds perfect, but then again I am not a native English speaker either.

If you follow Vecko's detailed instructions, TWoS' installation is not that complicated. Probably less complicated than having to create your own mod list. If memory serves me well, recently some issues have arisen between TDW's game patcher (which is an important part of TWoS) and the game version sold on the Ubi Store, but since you already possess a game key, I think you could re-install the 'sparrow' version you had previously downloaded, and register it with your valid credentials.

Urgent message mission
 

Every time i play the last campaign, i always finish it before or never get to play the mission "urgent message". Can anyone tell me what it is?

I installed SH5 clean. Then, I install OH II and patch. During patrol, I can't bring up the TDC. My periscope won't lower all the way. And, I have no officer icons. Anyone know why?

Such a lot of work on this Mod is to be applauded - I'm only at the beginning in October 39 and I'm already assailed by many planes: isn't that a bit excessive? Some of them fall alone at sea, strange.
Besides, when diving I hear the sound of planes passing over the map, it's an unnecessary faculty.

Just try to play again, after loooong break, I have new task info during patrol, but frame (there text should be) is empty.
I'm using this mod, and this is first patrol (06.09.1939).
It is normal?


BTW - I have polish version of game (DVD + patch from Ubi), cannot change it just like that I suppose. But, everything looks ok, just this missing text about new task is a problem (or not?) :-)

Not to sound like a complete dolt, is Open Horizons a:

A. Megamod unto itself,

B. An extension of the the existing campaign in SH5,

C. An alternate campaign for TWoS,

Does it exist anywhere else besides TWoS?
