(I'll assume that by "OLC GUI" you mean OLC Gold.)

The version of EDE included with OLC Gold is compatible with OLC Gold.
The version of EDE included with GWX is not compatible.
By "not compatible" I do not mean that you will get CTDs or other errors; rather, you will not have the "correct" lighting on your particle effects. They will still work, they'll just be the wrong colours and/or be brighter/darker than I intended.

Gotcha, oh and I'm using 1.2.7 rather than gold. Is there a difference?

OLC Gold combines an updated version of OLC GUI (quite a lot of changes and additions from 1.2.7) with an updated version of my environment mod (which used to be called OLCE2, and which is now included in GWX3 as a JSGME mod with the name "16km Atmosphere").

I merged them because certain changes I wanted to make involved at least one file that was common to both my mods, and I couldn't be bothered maintaining 3 mods (1 with only GUI, 1 with only environment, and 1 with both combined) when I would only be using the combined one.

If you're already using OLC GUI 1.2.7 with the GWX3 16km Atmosphere mod then you really have nothing to lose by upgrading to OLC Gold. If you're using a different environment mod then you may want to stick with 1.2.7.

As for compatibility, EDE is compatible with OLC GUI 1.2.7.

Hello. I have another question regarding the GUI 1.2.7.
Is there any chance for Karamazov's "ACM GUI Reloaded for OLC Gold MkII" be compatible with 1.2.7?

Hmm, I doubt it mate. Can't say for sure as I've not looked at ACM.

I hope you enjoy your vacation. :)

Thanks, it is true that i need some relaxation. My town is located by the sea so, literally speaking, i have everything i need right in front of me.

As for your answer, no worries mate. I will try to have a look myself and i will post back.

Has long had problems with the dials removable bottom center (angles, distances, speed of the target dot).
By taking one line in CFG, "commands", I deleted the MnID 0 x 3F10017 in Cmd 131. Since I have my hands dial that rotates.
I rather regret that the filters are removed for the night and Peri and Obsscope.
Otherwise Perfect, Thank you for the work.

I got black sky after installing this mod. I think this has something in common with "16 km Atmosphere" GWX optional mod because I also got identical bug after activating it. Any hints?

A black sky is usually caused by people installing the mod without first rolling back SH3 Commander. Also you should make sure that the 16km mod is disabled before installing this mod.

Yes, SH3 Commander's roll-back solved this problem. However your GUI interface and underwater view are still to dark. Any workaround?

It's a high-realism mod, I'm afraid. That means it's dark underwater and you can't see very far. Actually I was rather generous with the underwater visibility; IRL you'd see even less! But I digress. No, there's no workaround. If you want to change the way it looks underwater then you'll need to mod it yourself.

Gorshkov 06-28-10 06:36 AM

OK, and what about dark GUI elements?

Done on purpose. Try peering at a target through the scope on a dark OLC night, then you'll see why the GUI elements are darkened. :)

pickinthebanjo 06-30-10 09:26 AM

I love the dark GUI elements. I remember back before I used this mod, when it would be dark and I would be looking through the scope, I would open the recognition manual and it would pretty much blind me because it was so bright killing my nightvision for a while

Gorshkov 06-30-10 09:52 AM

Ye I like my eyesight more so I do not want to go blind during daytime with this mod. :rotfl2:
