Interesting... Are you saying that the particle wasn't a light source? When I was doing some testing of the flares that don't light anything up, I discovered that if you have a flare and set it's size large, you could get the camera 'inside' the particle and it would make everything seen through the particle look like daylight. It made everything light up though, even the far horizon, I abandonned it. Is that along the lines of what you were testing?

Have any screenshots of the 'lines' been posted? I have a feeling I know what they are, but is there a pic? Pics, or there's no issue .

Anyone tried looking at their bow with the external camera when they fire a torpedo?

I'm going to post my lines, I'm thinking we are having the same issue!:

other than the lines, and a issue with the deckguns* the mod rocks

*I use the Admiral Hipper alot, and after I downloaded PE4, i noticed that only the playable gun, whether manned or not, fires

EDIT: On another note, even though I love your mod, I need one for the Atlantic. So how do I go about changing the weather? all I really need to do at this moment, is to make the sea a bit more rough.

It's been so long I can't even remember what I was trying to achieve... :shifty: (although it wasn't the intention to light up the surroundings) I've just had a look if I still have the files, but I don't. But possibly it's similar to what you have tried. I just recall it as lighting up the environment.

I obviously have no real clue about what you have modified and experimented with in the shaders and scene.dat/textures etc, nor am I a HLSL guru (I know my way around, made S3D's shaders and other stuff) but have you considered things like lower bound clamping of colors or color ranges? This may pose all sorts of other problems of course, but hey...

I can live with the purple wake. I thought maybe I missed a fix somewhere. Enjoy your time off, kriller2.

Moonrise at Sea

I couldn't resist showing this scene from this amazing mod. As the sun is setting. the moon ascends to her place in the sky. Some days I find myself just watching the beautiful environment, instead of hunting enemy ships. I heartily thank all the fine folks involved in this work of art. "Ya done good guys, real good!"

(By posting this picture the ancient one is not in any way "mooning" the forum in general or Kriller2 in specific)

As far as the "lines" go, if we're talking about the same thing, are you refering to the "striations" in the water most noticeable in your last screenie? I also have this, but to be honest, and I may be wrong here, but I think it is supposed to be a representation of rippleing between the waves, as well as added reflection. I have this only in rough seas where one would expect to see the water in a more "roiled" state.

I see the above more after coming out of TC, say higher than 2048, when I save and re-load it goes away.
