Siara, yes, that would be best, you might want to save your sh3 commander profiles though, you might want to have those later:up:

Mohr, tough luck dude, my suggestion, I got my sh3 DVD from 2nd hand store for €2.99 try and look in those....

... Or E-Bay, you can pick it up relatively cheaply from that site now; I have a couple from there for back-ups just in case.

Cannot install GWX 2

Help!!!
I have been trying to install this for the last 5 hours. I install SHII patch it to 1.4 the run the GWX2 exe and it removes the data\air folder and then gives a message that the adb_ju87Stuka.cfg folder is corrupt.
I have no idea how to fix this.
any help would be appreciated.

One of the downloaded *bin files are corrupted, you need to check them:

You can get MD5 Mate from here:http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/sof...md5m_setup.exe

Thanks for the reply. I re-downloaded the files and it seemed to install Ok this time, but now I am getting a CTD when I try to join the boat to go on mission. I will use jsgm to unload all the options and try again.

Stuck again

This is getting old. Now I have managed to install GWX and that program starts up ok. I removed all the options so running plain vanilla GWX. I set up everything click "start mission" get about 90% of the load screen and the CTD. I really prefer SH III to
SH IV but this is very frustrating especially because 1.3 ran fine.
Any thoughts?

Never mind....

So I did yet another uninstall and reinstall and now everything is fine. Go Figure....

P. S. I have to say the mod looks very good given my short exposure. Thank You!

Madox58 12-10-07 11:08 PM

Well Sir,
I can only say about the uninstall/reinstall.

Sometimes you get the elevator,
Sometimes you get the shaft!

Believe me when I say
nearly 100 installs/re-installs in less then 6 months!

(I'm a slacker and don't use Jscones thingy!)

Like Privateer says, it's really hit & miss. It sucks!

Personally, I have never had any problems with removing SH3.

I have a complete/copied backup version of the SH3 program folder stored on my HDD, so when it's time to reinstall, I just delete the SH3 Program folder on C: and the copy/paste my backup. Usually completed in about 5-8mins.

Actually, I have complete, ready to copy & paste version of SH3 v1.0, SH3 v1.4b, TGW 1.0, TGW 1.1a, GWX v1.0,v1.02,v1.03,v2.0. These come in handy sometimes, as the team knows and will be very helpful soon ;), however they are taking up a lot of space on one of my HDD's. Might be time for a clearout.:hmm:
