Navigate.

I have no idea in hell of a teleporter mod.

That's more than fair. If you're close enough to "dock at x" then you're close enough for it to be real.

As for the actual docking, I try to obey (my own) harbor traffic rules: never more than 5 knots when inside the breakwater and never more than 1 knot when approaching or leaving the pier itself.

Meah, pulling up to the dock is for wussies. When you can put a IXD in the subpens in Lorient, come talk to me. No driving back & forth either. Spot your pen, make the turn. park it. :arrgh!:

Until, on your to port after a highly successful patrol, you suddenly find yourself in the midst of an air raid......like a turkey in a barrel http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/img265...shockedyi3.gif

Then you kinda get to thinking.... :hmm:

;)

Teleports are for James T. Kirk. Real captains navigate! :p

The draw back is less snogging time with the women, beam me up.

CENSORED :p

After hitting an uncharted seamount and smashing up my bow (losing all fore tubes in the process) and then encountering what seemed like the entire Royal Navy (and Coastal Command) on the way out, I eventually gave in and teleported. That will be the last time however...

Bdu in revenge gave me a patrol grid off Spain, I told them that AN would be a better and more realistic option and threatened to torpedo the Bismarck if they didn't change their minds.
Doenitz was sympathetic to my cause and the grid was changed, although there were more than the usual number of men in black leather trenchcoats at the dock to see me off on my fourth patrol.... :hmm:

This is eerily similar to what I do...

Sorry, I wasn't trying to start a bragging contest; just saying what feels real to me.

Go p**s on someone else's leg.:p :rotfl:

This kind of talk makes me want to get my own 'boot and go out on the harbor...err, as it stands in Oklahoma, a man-made lake!
