I need the laugh this thread gave me. I'm detecting a lack of 'Murica though. Is Task Force going to post here as well or is he an "off screen" character?

Just wait until inevitably Europe blows up.
The smoke from that mess will block Task Forces sun for turns :haha: |
Gentlemen
The last turn of the first year is upon us and tomorrow we will gaze into 1851, not with fear or wonder, but bold confidence in ourselves and our nation. For this Glorious great game is also a gentleman's game and we, the gentlemen, whether aristocrats with a lineage to Charlemagne himself or self made men of the republics, are not afraid of the future. One cannot be afraid of what one creates. Gentlemen, here's to 1851, the peace in Europe and growing prosperity Industrie und Glück http://thewailingwalls.co.uk/wp-cont...se-950x425.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqm9jaM5UPA |
Prussia late Dec 1850
As all the festivities and joy sweep through the Prussian kingdom one can't help to think how blessed they are to be part of this wonderful era where one can only look forward for a better future for themselves and that of the kingdom. Here's to 1851 to peace and friendship. |
Prussia early Jan 1851
As the new year begins it also begins for Alred Krupp whos conern is now considered one of the largest in Germany with advances made in the rail industry, artillery guns and cast steel output. http://i.imgur.com/IKRT9Rs.jpg?1 |

You know there's always that moment of calm before the storm. *wipes maps with plans of the table* Eh...just busy with economical stuff....you know building a mine here a munitio....Furniture Factory there. |
Well, why don't you come to the Great Exhibition in Hyde Park and see how it's done?
http://media.vam.ac.uk/media/thira/c...2006AG1658.jpg Amidst the largest creation of steel and glass ever seen in the world are the greatest treasures and finest items of mechanical, cultural and historical significance ever assembled in Europe...nay, in the world! Now...if you'll excuse me, I'll be trying to find my economy from where it's fallen down the back of the sofa...which in turn is somewhere in a jungle in Burma... :hmmm: |
Ah, I see the UK is going through the Oberon Depression of the 1850's!:D
|
Oberon is not only the master of stalling aircraft but is obviously also quite capable of stalling economies.:D
(not that I would be any better in this...:shifty:) |
This game needs a reverse of issue state bonds. A public funding of private projects or something.
I have a surplus of state funds with a cooling economy and I'd really love to spend some of them on a factory or 5 |
I've got the same issue, state capital is doing fine but my private capital always lingers around 600-700 which is a bit of a pain as it prevents me from taking over the ..... taking steps to increase consumer goods.
So back to the drawing board and reading material regarding the economy features in this game. |
Still building furniture factories and wineries Hunter? To take over the world you have to do better then throwing furniture at your enemies and then hitting them over the head with a bottle of wine!:D
