Makman94, your mod gives second life for SH3/GWX. Really outstanding job, it squeezes the last juices from old SH3 engine.

Only one thing will make me absolutely delighted - horizon fix included in MEP :DL.

thank you Jaxa, for the other thing you are talking.....patience :DL

hello Wolfhunter,

first of all forget the windscreen mod if you want your sunhalo back
(also check ,after you have disabled the windscreen mod, if in free cameras's parameters the viewport values are L=0 , R=1 , T=1 , B=0 )
if you still 'miss' the halo, try the followings (not all together...one each time):

1. a)disable the 'fix'
b)set your AA Gamma Correction OFF
C)change ''AA Transparency Multisampling'' to ''AA Transparency super-sampling'' if you have this option

run the game,if you still don't have halo then exit the game.enable AND the 'fix' and run the game ..again

IF nothing worked proceed to next:

2. a)disable the 'fix'
b)as you have Nvidia ,i STRONGLY suggest you(in fact,is a 'must' to do) to use nhancer with the Rubini's settings .check the first post for the links.you will be amazed with the results of this programm, just try it (make sure that nhancer is running for sh3 before you proceed, you will understand if nhancer is running by looking at the waves...they no more... 'pixelazing')

if you still don't have halo then exit the game.enable AND the 'fix' and run the game ..again

PS: you will always check your sunhalo at torpedo training mission ( or... at CLEAR SKY ) . at cloudy sky the sunhalo is intended to be reduced when sun is behind a cloud so if you want to see the sunhalo at clouds ,you will look at the sun when is not covered by a cloud

@Makman

Is MEP v2.1 to be layered on top of OLC GUI Gold MKIId or OLC GUI 127 ?

Cheers, UG

java`s revenge 09-27-09 10:19 AM

Yes, that isn`t a problem. I have done that also.

Wolfehunter 09-27-09 11:05 AM

for the first part of your question look at post 49 of this thread
for the second...has no meaning to discuss it becuase the 127 is a gui mod and M.E.P is an environment mod...tottaly independent

Flat sun fix works good

LGN1 09-28-09 09:48 AM

Hi,

I have tried this mod and I like it a lot! Very nice  Thanks for the great work.

However, after using OLCE for a long time, I like the smaller moon much more (as far as I know, it is also more realistic). Can this be changed easily, e.g., by replacing the moon.tga or are changes with S3D to the scene.dat required? Any tip/help would be highly appreciated.

Again, thanks for the great work, makman!

Cheers, LGN1

hello LGN1,

yes you can do that, just place the moon.tga that you like in your textures folder and thats it ! (note that the reflections for the moon will be still active and maybe you wouldn't like this becuase will be a little ...bigger comparing to the new size of moon.you can disable them in the scene.dat -->sky--->moon--->waterreflection : set reflection=0 and refraction=0)
thank you for your words
