The Country's worst moment ever!!!!!!!!!!!.........

You have an interesting if not strange standard for "worst moment ever" in your nations history. :-? However you are fully entitled to voice your opinion. :yep:

From recent memory I would have thought that the 9/11 terrorist attacks on American soil were worse than Senator Obama being elected.

Or from an American societal level and given that an African American has been chosen as the next President, what about the Dred Scott Decision of 1857 by the US Supreme Court? The Supreme Court declared no slave or descendant of a slave could be a U.S. citizen, or ever had been a U.S. citizen. In effect blacks were nothing but possessions.

I'd rate both of the above mentioned examples as far worse than Senator Obama being elected as the next President of the United States of America. That's my two cents.

Are you accusing me directly of the above just because I felt that there were far worse events in US history than you claimed? Or are you levelling this claim at Senator Obama?

Ignore him, Konovalov.

As one enfant terrible here in Germany, Dieter Bohlen, has put it: "Versuch einem Deppen mal klarzumachen, daß er ein Depp ist..."

Well.. Dieter Bohlen is an authority in that particular field, I have to admit.

This just says it all!"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. Ihope you'll join with me as we try tochange it." - Barack Obama.......

I think I saw that quote before, but with "George W Bush" as it's source :hmm:

Clay, slow that wheelchair down!!! The USA will not fall off the face of the earth come Friday. You will find that Obama will be so swamped attempting to fix the economy that he will have just enough time to "change" his under shorts. Most if not all of what he said in the race was said only to win the race. The sad reality, he will stick with the current taxation and freeze spending (hmmm sounds like McCain, why yes, it was McCain). Trillion dollars of new spending and he wants to cut taxes? Ok, let me smoke what he is smoking. Furthermore, do you think McCain will sit idle why shear madness is going on? Highly unlikely. You have to remember, not everyone on Capitol buys into the rhetoric of Obama. They only did so to keep a seat and their self-serving interests alive and making a paycheck. Today felt no different to me. However, it does my heart good to see MLK's dream come to fruition. What would the world be if he was still around? We can only guess.
