I got SH4 when it first came out (almost the first day), and havn't played it since the first day. I installed it, launched it, visited Ubisoft's site for patches. When I saw none I just said, "This sucks! Where's GWX? I'll wait until GWX comes out for SH4." I'm still waiting.

Back on topic...

Well, they're back now and accounting for a good half of the posts in this forum, I see :p

I think I must be about a quarter of the 'everybody'. I was hoping no one would notice my 102 posts in the past 11 days. I guess I had a lot to say (which probably shouldn't have been).

Only 102 posts in 11 days?

Slacker! :stare:

We're still out here. Just check in now and again. Don't always post something.

Nope....not right now

As already stated by Privateer, work has commenced on GWX4, but we are also preparing GWX3.o for release. http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...ies/pirate.gif

Ha! staying on thread. The numbers in the forum are coming back up. :arrgh!:

Myxale 11-01-08 05:37 PM

:rotfl:
You're surely tight lipped about that, Jim. Not that I blame you!!

But I wasn't asking about that.

I always assumed that SH4 is just and "updated engine" of SH3. So when you said it "more scope for modding" I assumed then, that SH4 is easier to mod!:hmm:

Brag 11-01-08 05:44 PM

We are seing a rebound in people on the forum. Lurkers, do join in! :D

Too early to say.

Where it does win hands down (to name but one example) is in the loading times.

SH3 loads everything at the outset while SH4 loads bite size chunks.

Brag I merged your thread with this one :yep:

RDP--good idea! :D

It's mid-semester for me, so I can't spend as much time as I would like goofing with mods and such. As a result, I have far fewer questions to ask.

Also I bought an HDTV for the first time, my TV for the past ten years has been a little 19" guy that has color/tint issues and occasionally makes quirky sounds. That may have something to do with much of my spare time.

No, it's because I have a real life that I come here......to get away from it!!

Not to mention work, broken toe, getting ready for winter.

I'll second some of that: I spent a good portion of late summer/early fall getting ready for, and going hunting.

It's just like playing SHIII, but without those annoying depth charges, and you get to eat what you sink.

-SWCowboy. 11-03-08 05:38 PM

I would've been hunting a lot this year, but my daughter's due in 4 weeks so I had to push it back for a while.

I can only imagine my wife calling me and saying it's time to go just as my crosshairs hit that monster buck :nope: I would be ticked... :damn: ...so I'll wait for Spring Turkey season. :D

Wait and look around your house before you shoot. Don't trust ANY lamp that you use in your house. Turn on the power, if it does not light, SHOOT IT!, then roast it and eat it.

-SWCowboy. 11-03-08 08:40 PM

LMAO!!! :rotfl:

I could just imagine what the neighbors would think if a load of pellets went right through their wall!! I'll see you after my sentencing! :nope:

StarFox 11-03-08 09:16 PM

I have not been around for about 6 months until now....

I had a successful campaign going starting in 39, and my computer bit the dust. My new system is far more powerful, but work and school prevented me from getting back into the game. So I'm stuck right now, until winter break comes
