That's rather impossible, We can't even see 25% of the aircraft

YB-35/YB-49?

XabbaRus 06-18-08 03:36 PM

I know I said it was mean....

It is either a 1966 VW Beetle or a F117.

Or maybe not:D

Raptor1 06-18-08 04:11 PM

It's the B-12345678910, the Spruce Goose Bomber variant!

Or maybe an Executor-class Super Star Destroyer

Now seriously, the picture kinda reminds me of the X-45, but it's black and white...

XabbaRus 06-18-08 04:49 PM

Your looking at a wing root from below and behind. Tip its Russian. That should make it easier....

Can I ask one thing, Is it a Strategic or Tactical Bomber?

EDIT: Is it a Tu-22M?

The WosMan 06-18-08 05:08 PM

I have always liked this one, the largest US bomber ever built and having both piston engine and jet engines:

This one was also cool:

B-36D and the YB-49 right?

I think the most important thing the B-36 ever did was become the first flying nuclear reactor...

Platapus 06-18-08 05:22 PM

six turning four burning!

seafarer 06-18-08 05:59 PM

Even though the YB-49 never made it into production, it was nice that they gave Jack Northrop security clearance to see the plans and pre-production model of the B-2. While he died before the first rollout, at least he knew that his ideas had finely come to full fruition.

Raptor1 06-18-08 06:14 PM

Indeed, even though it flew almost 45 years after the YB-49, the B-2 can still be considered the YB-49's descendant

Sailor Steve 06-18-08 08:48 PM

The YB-49 may not have made it into production, but it did have a lovely starring role in the original War Of The Worlds. It tried to nuke the Martians.

Here are a couple you can chew on (should be easy):

The NB-36H flew test flights with a nuclear reactor onboard as part of the Aircraft Nuclear Propulsion project

HunterICX, Tu-2?
