Well Silent Hunter isint a action subsim. So Im thinking Enigma Rising Tide II or Dangrous Waters II.

Enigma: Rising Tide. A decent sub sim and surface patrol craft game that many claimed was too action/arcade style. Somewhat rough and buggy but decent overall. Used StarForce. It's selling point was an alternate history timeline and voice command (but it's not as good as my voice system for SH4!)

Ummm...

I'm pretty sure DW is more "sim" than "action". ;)

To Bill Nichols.....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Seriously though, I think most of us would agree that Ubisoft is out of the picture for now. So, my two best guess' (and wishes) would be for Dangerous Waters 2 or Fleet Command 2. Both of which I purchased as soon as they were available. While Dangerous Waters continues to be great as well as popular, I was very disappointed that Fleet Command was not supported by the community as well as it should have been. I found it to be a very fun and immersive simulation and to my knowledge, there's not another simulation that gives the player the feeling of being a general situated in a war room, as Fleet Command did, with the possible exception of Harpoon. And I really can't speak for harpoon. I nearly purchased it at one time, but the reviews I read seem to get me the feeling that you spent more time mouse clicking than dealing with the existing situations. As a matter of fact, maybe harpoon would be my third choice in the hopes that they may make it a little more user friendly. Whatever the outcome, let us all be thankful that any simulation is continuing to be developed.

I bet it will be either:

A) Dangerous Metal Tubes, a sim in creation by select DW fans here
B) ERT:2 (Sink the Hood?)
or
C) A Sonalysts Game (Fleet Command 2?)

I've got my spy in the field, if he makes it back alive, I estimate a week.

Or less.

Okay here's my other guess:

'Sink the Developer!' - An action game/submarine sim that announces it is in production with a flashy website promising a list of features that encompasses everything including the kitchen sink, only to disappear when the bugs cannot be worked out before the backers get cold feet and drop it in favour of their back up plan... Bravo Delta Zulu Combat Assault Squad - a cheesy Gulf War-themed side scrolling shoot em up which goes on to sell three copies, before being ported to a console as a budget title.

Which one of you tried to build it? :-)

At the end of the Wikipedia artice on The Turtle...

On 3 August 2007 three men were stopped by police while piloting and escorting a replica of the Turtle within 200 feet of the Queen Mary 2 without authorization at New York City's Red Hook Brooklyn cruise ship terminal. The replica was created by New York artist Philip "Duke" Riley and two men from Rhode Island, one of whom claimed to be a descendant of David Bushnell.[1]

lol Queen Mary 2!

I'd say one of the Enigma guesses was closest. They had a Bismarck expansion in the works, once.
