what kind of credit card is needed ? to buy on amazon
can you use credit cards that arent used "internationaly" ? like the visa or whatever |
Well, I just got off the phone with a game distributor. They buy games in big lots from publishers at a big discount and then try to sell smaller parcels to guys like Subsim, Gamespot, etc at less discount. I told him I would be interested in buying a lot of SH4 and sell to you guys, especially guys in Canada and overseas who cannot get the game bonus materials, or whatever it is that Ubi has been hinting at. I told him that most of the people who visit Subsim probably have already preordered the game through Ubi or some other website, so I don't think Subsim will be able to sell many copies, but I was still interested, under two conditions.
1. I have to know with a high degree of confidence when the game will be shipped to Subsim, so I can give a date to people who buy it. 2. I need to have a guarantee with regards to the "bonus materials" and "Collector's Edition" variety. I doubt they can get this info, since Ubi has not told anyone what the heck they are doing. I do not want 100 people to buy the game from Subsim and end up mad about missing a $1 map or some geegaw. Ubi was pretty smart to stir this up. Anyway, I'm still going to rely on Amazon, when they finally are able to turn on their preorder again. But I would be interested in your thoughts…. Chips… I miss you. |
I hate it when distributors like Amazon do this. I'm tempted to order it any way I can and donate extra when I can so Neal doesn't lose out. Still, being poor I'll probably sit and wait, and hope.
Whatever happens, Neal, we are fully aware that it's in no way your fault. We appreciate all the effort you put in for us sub lovers. |

If someone is going to Pre-order, then I would think that he or she would want to get the Collector's Edition and everything that would normally come with it, no matter where they get it from and obviously we don't want to get the game after everybody else, which is what it sounds like, if we get it directly from you. Anyway, so I guess you're now waiting for an answer to your two questions. When do you expect to get a response? P.S. You might be surprised how many folks will get it thru you, either by Amazon or otherwise. |

amazon.co.uk MasterCard Visa/Delta/Electron MasterCard/EuroCard AmericanExpress Switch/Solo/Maestro also you can pay using Cheque or Money Order taken from amazon.co.uk, works similar for de and other amazons, i suppose;) M |
As much as I would like to help out the subsim community and buy SHIV through Amazon, I have a Best Buy giftcard from Christmas. Will SHIV with all the cool features (DVD and recognition posters) be at Best Buy?
|
Either way it goes, I will put some money in Subsim's pocket.
I love this place.:ping: |
SubSim and SHIV
I'll buy it from here, if I can use Paypal.:D I don't want the top level collector's version (with the pen:huh:), but I do want the special early version with the bonus material (or more specifically, the ID Manual and Map).

I would be more than glad to order SH4 from Subsim but only if you could guarantee that I would get an CE or something similar. I really wish you good luck on that 'project'.:rock: |
You know, I want the CE with all the thigamajig, but I don't NEED it. Really all that I want with SHIV is a chance to have this game on due date and not have to spend a week being taunted by early shots as it happened with SHIII. I mean my store did a good job of getting the game (SHIII) in when I asked them, but they only did it around March 23rd. That'd be an eternity for me now :dead:

The reason why I want the CE is that you get a printed recognition manual, that's a must-have to me. |
Hi people. Ive been an avid reader of these forums and have been biding my time to see when there is an opportunity when I can get silent hunter 4 collectors edition in England. Does anyone know that if you buy from amazon.co.uk or play.com that the pre-ordered dvd will be the collectors edition anyway?.

AMAZON.COM
Release Date: March 15, 2007 At least Amazon is showing a release date for it. Still not available, but I have it on my Wish List at Amazon from the Subsim link; and, like Neal, I'll patiently wait for it to activate in my shopping cart. |

I for one will be ordering through you if you pull that one off. I would very much like the CD/DVD with the historical movie. For one i don't care much about how the parcel looks like, rather what it contains. My order is based on it getting shiped to Denmark.. |
There are only 3 places I will pre-order games from (not in any particular order):
1. The actual company that produces the game. 2. Gogamer.com 3. EBGames.com (and this one is iffy) The reason I didn't mention this site is because I don't think I have never pre-ordered anything from here before (maybe Dangerous waters..which arrived right on time), but I can't remember. However, I would definatley be willing to pre-order SHIV from here if the opportunity presented itself. |
For what it is worth....
I am in the UK. I have already pre-ordered SHIV via the Subsim link; however, if Subsim can secure a guarentee for the bonus edition before the cut off date for the existing order, I am willing to cancel that order and purchase from Subsim direct, regardless of delivery date. If it it helps, then it has been a pleasure to provide support for this venture. |
Thanks Bladeheart, but what do you mean by "bonus edition"? The regular edition with bonus materials, or the super collectors edition with the metal box?
It's pretty confusing, if I were you, I wouldn't change your order. Thanks for the support, just remember to use the Subsim Amazon UK store search engine on future game orders, that will work for us and won't cost you anything extra. cheers Neal |
