:) You knowwhen you're playing too much SH3 when she comes in and says to me " Aren't you going to do anything else today". Schlecht, these missions are soooo addictive. Just can't stay away from this game. Speaking of which, I must get on another mission now. Good Hunting all, Erich Topp U-552

You know you play too much SHIII when you go to the kitchen for a sandwich, look at the windows and surprise because is as sunny day. :o

"But is raining since three days!", ups, not, that was in the north Atlantic :yep:

You know when you're playing too much SH3 when:

You are submerged and running the hydrophone around to 270 where that destroyer you just nailed in the props SHOULD be, only when you hit 270, a bird starts chirping right outside your window(on your left no less) and you start thinking "Wow! I really screwed up that destroyers' props!"

When (like me) :

- You visit all libraries in Paris in search for a new U-Boot book.
- You spend hours seraching these books for a proof that the germans DID have a way to know when they had changed from a thermal layer to another.
- You have the 'Das Boot' music has your mobile phone rining tone.
- You shorten phone calls from your friends because 'You're tracking this @#!% convoy for 2 hours now and you were just about to start your attack run.
- You call back your friends the next day to entertain them with memories from this attack.
- You cry with joy when Rub 1.44 and SH3 Commander finally allow you to start a Career from your home town of Bordeaux.

You know you're playing to many subsims when you find out that the guy who towed your car home from Burbank to Pasadena served aboard the Foxtrot diesel boat you tracked all over the Mediterranean 20 years before.

A true story, I gave him my copy of Blind Man's Bluff & he gave me his Soviet Navy Enlisted Man's pin.
Small world! That's funny and sweet at the same time.

A storm came in today and it's raining cats and dogs (doesn't happen much here in Los Angeles) while I was driving to work, and the first thought that came to mind was "I guess I won't be manning the deck guns."

When you get up early on weekend and say to your wife: "don't worry darling i'll bring your breakfast to bed"...ten minutes later you jump from your seat just before launching a fish towards a Destroyer in attack run, suddenly aware of the burning toast in the oven.....

If your wife didn't smell the smoke you can try to finish your attack run later at lunch...."Darling don't worry today i'll cook for you.....;) "

Cheers

You know that you're playing to much SH3 (as in my case);
– when you have changed the lamp at the desk err... die zentrale, to a red one.
– when you have a kriegsmarine map on the wall.
– when you almost shout out ALLAAARRM!! when you hear/sees a prop aircraft.
– when you paddling canoe with your friends and find yourself correcting the course with "Volle fahrt voraus, ruder hart backbord!".:rotfl:

You know you have played too much SH3 when:

if you are unfortunate enough to have to live with your parents. You are creeping up to bed at some unearthly hour you find yourself muttering "Shleifahlt" (or however you spell it) under your breath for fear of waking them and receiving a telling off the next morning.

Kpt. Lehmann 08-31-07 01:44 PM

... or when "FLUGZUG GESISCHTET!!!" followed by "ALLLAAARRRMMM!!!" actually causes your hands to shake...

... or when seeing a picture like this: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...postcount=3629

...has the same effect.:ping:

When you receive a message on your mobile, look at the in-game clock, and think to yourself 'who the hell is texting me at 5 in the morning?!?!?' :x Although on a couple of occassions that has actually been the 'real' time! And I've only been playing the game for a week!

Or you wake up yelling "flugzeug beschmutzt!"
Watch your German, Kaleun, you just said: "Plane dirtied." ;)

Correct is: "Flugzeug gesichtet!" :yep:

When...

Your driving in traffic and think if I wasn't in this type II I would have enough torps to finnish this guy.

gordonmull 02-22-08 11:17 AM

Sorry to resurrect this one again but I just had on of those moments.

At work and we start getting power surges....the lights flicker madly....computer screens are flashing and going off...the receptionist yells through that we've lost the switch board. The printer goes off.

All can think is "Give me proper damage reports!" and I wait for the sound of breaking glass.
