but I am the author the T class model used in it, I made it for GWX 2.0 back in 2006, when i was still learning 3d, so yeah, it looking abit tatty now. despite somes ones stella efforts on massivley improving the textures :) Anyway, for what its worth - I did create new and better 3d Models for T Class and S class NPC Subs in GWX Knight Cross, (with use as player boats in mind) See post #244 https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/sho...252967&page=17 (Anyone) Please feel free to port those models across from KC to this mod if desired, Id love to see them made playable. :) -All i ask is just credit me and GWX KC for it in your readme and that would be sweet. I saw this mod thanks to one of Taff's videos (love me some Taff In Exile), but when I tried booting it up, its not working. I'm using a fresh install for SH4 with U-Boat Missions downloaded, and LAA enabled, I see the new splash screen, have everything enabled according to the load order, but when the bar gets full, I get the same errors.
"There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page ChooseLoadSave>!" "There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page PlayerRank>!" "There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page IntelligenceUnits>!" "There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page WeaponsAndSensors>!" "Menu ID not found: 0x6101000b!" "Menu ID not found: 0x61080004!" After that series of errors, in that order, its a CTD. At this point I am being driven insane. What in the [TORPEDO LOS] am I doing wrong, here?! Maybe the Wow Model was too high vert count? (therory) I know you can work around S3ds vert limits per node -by breaking a model down in to parts. However I think there is a ceiling for vert counts for the SH3 engine and by extention probably SH4 to, since its a derivative. -In KC we were forced to abandon the aft Diesel room interiors for the 7c's, which was maybe close to a million polys + its many animations not so high for modern standards but for a 20 year old game engine, a whole lot of nope. Kept getting CTD's on late war career starts. Another one was AlexBs Aquatania, lovley model - but it just proved to be too much. |
