Hey itadriver !

I've just realized that it's bad that Yamato replaces the type IXD2. Because I plan to create multiplayer missions with Yamato and IXD2 submarines, which will be American submarines (played by human players) attacking the Japanese (including the human Yamato of course !).

It would be better to make Yamato a type IIA !

Can you do that ?

Try as IXD2. If there is no problem we can change into an V++ or IX+ but not into a II+

My first questions :

- can we choose what gun is playable on the ship ? (ex : I would like to play the second main turret and the first 6inch triple turret) (and I would like to play two 25mm turrets (one on each board) and not the 5in turret)

- also, can we have more than one main gun (node M01) ? it's hard to shoot with the 6 inch triple turret without any iron sight !

- how to put starshells on the 5in guns ?

- did you change any guns nodes (.dat or .sim file) ?

6.1 inc and 25mm playable is possible.
No. Just one M1 (but 6.1 is a Sgun so we can have 6.1 and also 18inch)
Starshell, I will try.
Guns: as you can see there is a new "yamato_guns.dat/zon";.
Same modifications also in Ixd2 node guns.

How does the game recognize that this is the first 18inch turret which is playable ? All 18inch turrets have the same name in IXD2.dat (=M01)....

The problem is that it's impossible to be accurate without an ironsight on the 6in turret. So, my idea is to make the 6in the main playable gun. Long distance fire is too hard without specific optic devices, so let the AI fire with the 18inch turrets.

I have a huge problem. I can't assign the crew to the main and AA guns ! Do you know where does this problem come from ???

If you open the dat file of the yamato guns, in library folder, you can see that inside aa guns there is a 'soclu' that is referred to an other gun. Do you have this gun in guns.dat?

Thank you for the answer. Yes, I noticed it : "DMY_Soclu_20mmTwin_UFlak_High". What is it ?

There isn't such a node in the 6.1inch gun. Is it normal ?

OK. I re-installed SH3 and the problem is solved.

Now, I don't understand why the 5in AA gun without shield and the 25mm gun without shield are not playable ... ?
