I haven't properly gotten into all this yet (love the movies, mind) but I picked up all the discs over time, plus a boxed-set collection containing Underworld, Legend and Anniversary. I'm saving all these up for when they finally lock me up, either for old-age or criminal negligence or GBH, whichever comes first...

Any news on her gear.
Mostly that badass ice pick to crack skulls and a bow :D

I was lucky to be around when the first TR game appeared, it was amazing for the time. Since all I have on the road is my 2007 model laptop, I am playing through the first TR games via Steam (that's all this laptop can manage). It's still fun.

The main problem I had with the most recent iteration of TR, which was quite good and I own, was how much of a monster the game made Laura.

When you get to the end of the game and think back on the THOUSANDS of people you've just killed... I mean, Jesus - granted, you can somewhat justify it in that they were trying to kill her too, but man.

Going from this naieve girl to someone who kills without remorse, and often!, was a bit of a stretch for me. IOW, I think the game focused too much on combat.

I'm really, REALLY hoping that this new installment addresses this and focuses more on the spelunking/puzzle solving than the wholesale slaughter of people.

Yeah, you don't want to play TR:Legends, then, you pretty much assault the entire Mountain Division of the Russian Army.

Meanwhile, Tomb Raider The Musical Is As Bad As It Sounds :har:

Today it's out. I was given the game as a birthday present, so I have to wait for the mail. :wah: If you are playing it, let us hear what you think. :salute:

Cant't remember how many years ago I played the original TR but if reports here are favourable and a PC version is released I would be tempted.

Jim, I don't have this newest one Neil is talking about, but I have the version from Steam that came out before this new one. It is good! Can get it on Steam right now for $19.99. So hurry up Jim, jump on in, the water is fine!:D

When I got my ps4 earlier this year I picked this game up on sale. I was quite impressed with it and found it lots of fun. The best part is that my wife loves watching me play it, she will actually ask me if I want to play some "laura". She's really been enjoying both the game play and the story as it plays out. If only she could be like this for the other games I play but I'll take what I can get.

I'm barely half way through right now so by the time it comes out next year for ps4 I'll be finishing up the first one, I don't play it as often as my wife would like. (if I finish it fast she won't ask me to play video games, that stuff needs preserved)

That's so cool, wamphyri. My daughters and I do the same thing. They are more skillful than me, so I let them man the controls when they are there. We enjoy the entertainment a lot, as well as playing the game.
