Jim, if the Merlin helicopter is flying the White Ensign does that make it a ship? :salute: Some great shots, by the way.

I'm simply grateful we've still got one or two flying :)

All the very best.

Much appreciated mate, I'm sure we'll meet one day.

The weather was great on the day, the only downside for me was the distance and height the flightline was from the crowd....my 250mm lens simply couldn't cope unlike a couple of friends who had 400mm+ lens.

ImageShack is also compounding matters by missing out randomly almost 50% of the photos you think you've posted despite giving the links.

Round is a shape, and I'm proud of it. I hope we meet too.

We call it rotund down south mate, and I'm more than reasonably rotund myself and equally as proud :yeah: An after thought, I wonder if slim people appreciate the amount us 'rounduns' invest in breweries to get this shape, and so invest in the economy ;)

All the very best mate.

Unfortunately Jim good weather also extends flight distance, can't have it all I guess ;) Have you tried photobucket mate, never had a problem with them personally.

Best regards.

Right now I'll try just about anything because the static shots have just about ended and I thank God for digital photography when I consider the literally hundreds of shots I've deleted because of the shortcomings of the zoom lens.

Fubar2Niner 07-10-13 02:21 PM

Haha, I hear you mate. Actually I sometimes wonder if digital hasn't made us all a tad less careful, if you get my drift. No more mono/tripod for me, I have lens stability and a 16 GB card ;) Believe me macro is almost the same.

Best regards.

Rgr that...been looking at the Canon 100mm to 400mm lens but I'm not sure I want to pay the best part of a grand that I'd only be using a few times per year :hmm2:
