Oh I forgot about the Isle of Man. But that's ok - everyone forgets about the Isle of Man..:)

That's not going to win them entry into the NLoCA. Like most Scots I don't understand cricket and believe it to be a weird plot for keeping the locals of the further flung former colonies like India and Australia happy.

As for the important issue of who will rule us, I propose a four way fight between Sean Connery, Kenneth Branagh, Tom Jones and Bono.

Quite a few around here wouldn't disagree with you :O: Never understood the rivalry myself, aside from the Derby...but I'm not truly local, so that's probably why.

So, with my mixed heritage, would all this talk of separation mean I get dual citizenship?

Your all a crazy good lot.....independance LOL :DL

See ya all at the local 'handout queue' :O:

Umm, the only Tom Jones I know is Welsh.

Yes he is. I had a long witty answer written out twice but my IPad ate it both times. Jonesy will represent Wales in the fight off to decide the president of the newly formed Northern League of Celtic Acoholics which will be formed by those proud nations that make up the Celtic fringe.

We might let the Isle of Man in too, but they're going to have to submit a detailed report telling us what they're all about because I asked down the pub and no one knows anything about them, except it might have been formed by other Celts who got lost on the way back from a night out.

EDIT: I see the confusion. I forgot to include Wales and N. Ireland to the list of potential members. This is a glaring and unfortunate oversight and I apologise for any offence it may have caused my Celtic brothers. Not that it matters because King Sean the first will have your boys in the presidential rammy.

Yep, Sean - Scots, Ken - English (and clearly the premier choice to rule! :03:), Tom - Welsh, and Bono - Irish.

I've just had a look at any Cornish folk that could do the job, and I'd hardly heard of any of them, the only ones I recognised were - Mick Fleetwood (#you can go your own waaay!), William Golding, Rory McGrath, Thandie Newton (:o), John Nettles, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Marcus Trescothic. It think many non-UK-ers will be pushed to recognise four of those!

So it's unlikely to be a Cornwallian (or whatever they are!).

As a side note, I've met two girls from Cornwall and they both had webbed feet, really! :88)

Nope, Ken Branagh is a Belfast boy I'm afraid. Besides, this is an exclusive club of Celtic drunk states - England being mostly Anglo-Saxon and reaching the world cup finals on a regular basis is denied membership. :O:

Ooh! John Nettles! He can come. We'll make him minister of justice. We'll certainly need him in a country where fighting is the national currency.

Then I apologise to all Ulstermen. You can have John Nettles, but be aware that once a week there'll be a murder or two when he's around... :yep:

It's starting to look like Sean wins by default. It will be a short-lived dynasty, though, as Jason is half Italian and talks like an Englishman.
