Starting up the game, loading a save at sea, waiting 5 minutes for everything to load up, start driving around, and having the game crash so hard I have to hard restart my computer.

Can't figure out why he'd waste time to line up a shot when he could be going for flank and crash diving. And dang it seems like that boat was really moving.

Trying to beak through the minefield off the east coast of England, raising the scope only to see a mine chain only a few feet from your boat! Major oh s*** moment.:nope:

Lazy kaleuns!

Successful attack on a convoy, after tracking them for a day, took out 3 ships for about 8tons each, able to slip away undetected, but having noticed some of the ships were damaged, and recently.

Seeing the destroyer that was trying to catch up to the convoy from about 30k back, but not avoiding him, and having him find us...... doh!

kk20 11-18-10 06:15 AM

forgetting to put lazy watch officer on deck. Oh FFS GET OUT OF YOUR BUNK!

My biggest ahhh moment was player silent II vs a friend on destroyer commander he detected me and was running in to attack I had a straight shot and fired at about 500 meters hit him and he sank on top of me.

Silent Hunter III ahhh is usually firing at a damaged target and finding that I haven't add enough to the draft to allow for how much of the ship has sunk by and having the torpedo skim off the bottom of the hull rather than exploding nicely under it

Best moment for me has to be while sailing in the atlantic in the Bismark.

I'm moving the crew around due to fatigue when I see a little cinematic screen appear which looks a lot like an aircraft attack.

Definitely an oh bugger moment, bombs bang slap in the middle of the ship, several crew dead and some major damage.

Only downside to playing WSM3.0 is the crews inability to spot aircraft, still don't know what attacked me to this day but I quickly made for home after that attack.

Intercepting a convoy just as I know it was time to go to bed.:damn:

I knew I would rush the approach/evasion and that has already cost me my last career.

Back to the empty sea of my last save.....:nope:

Closing in on a merchant then blow ballast en send men to the deck gun only to find out that the wheather just changed to just bad enough to not being able to men the deck gun.

:damn:
