It's the reason we still have all of those canals full of rubbish and rusty shopping trolleys, it's less about ambiance, more the need for more steam. It's what powers the city council buildings and the dss offices and the job centre, don't cha know :yep:

Some 10% of the votes from unions didn't count as they didn't tick the box confirming they were labour members!

I assume you're talking about the 568mL pint? In the Netherlands we use 220ml glasses, in our faculty's pub it's €0,42 a beer, so that's about £0.89 a pint. Or 30 beer (=12 pints) for €10 (= £8.50)

Outside of the campus, the cheapest I know is about £1.63 a pint.

Yes we are talking about 568ml 'pints'. Only paying that much for a beer is good but out of a 220ml glass, only about 100ml is actually beer, the rest is just the frothy head - and the barman would get laughed at before having it poured over his head here in the UK. :nope:

Why would there be so much foam? If there is, it's a sign that the barman really can't tap at all and shouldn't even be there.

And UK beers aren't really known for their excessive foam either...:hmmm:

That's my experience of drinking in Germany and the Netherlands, frothy beer! Maybe you've got an Ozzy pulling your drinks on campus :DL

When I lived in Dordrecht I was a sucker for eating the free salted peanuts that adorned the bar even though I realised they were there to give you a thirst :doh:

Beer should have about 2 fingers width of foam.
Much better than UK beer with no foam at all:yep:
