Well I've always had the luck to be pretty large and looking strong (stronger than I actually am). The last time I took a beating must be when I was 6 or so.

And I want to help this kid get to the same point. I'm just not sure how to do it. I think he's experiencing even more insecurity than you or I have ever experienced.
Hmm, I'm not really sure either... It's a lot easier to say "you should do this or that" than to actually do it. It must be quite scary for him I guess.

For *******'s sake, he's part of a vampire cult! How messed-up is your life when you end up in a vampire cult? This kid has problems and I'm not sure that I am qualified to deal with them.
well yeah I guess your life must be pretty f*cked up if you're in a vampire cult:lol:
Seriously though, this cult can hardly do any good for him. It will only alienate him more and more from the normal society.
But probably all his friends are in it as well. I can understand he's scared to leave behind those few friends he has.

You're right, and I have tried to tell him the same thing, but it isn't working. What I've ended up with instead is a person who depends on me for moral support. I think I may be doing more harm than good in this instance.
I don't think you're doing more harm than good. If you were not around he'd probably not go seek any professional help either.

Any inspirational words of wisdom from those who are older and/or wiser than me that I can pass on would be appreciated.
I wouldn't really know any inspirational words of wisdom. I'm generally not a too inspiring speaker if you ask me:lol:

There is one thing I can recommend though, but you've probably already thought of that yourself. It's much easier to make large changes like these when your social contacts change. For example, if you're switching classes or when you're moving. Those new people can form an unbiased opinion on you.
If something like this is going to happen to his life in the near future, that'd be a good moment to change his life.
