As i said above, saying something doesnt fix anything, and saying nothing is worse, we're a month or so into silent hunter and the drm-complaining people (Who seem to not know that these complaints wont make a difference, which is why i rightly refer to some of the more loud ones as "Idiots") havent slowed down in their bile-spreading at all.
I just want to speak up and make sure that everyone knows that there is a dissenting voice in the forum, and i wouldnt use such harsh language if this wasnt the 5th thread i've had to do this in. |

Granted, we cant make changes and re-sell it under another name or blah blah profit. But we bought it, its ours. Just like its "your" volvo or "your" loaf of bread or "your" LOTR dvd collection. |

Ubisoft are not the ones making post after post after post after post making the same tired points. Ubisoft are not the ones calling people names like "fanboy". People have to take some personal responsibility for their own actions. If you try to blame Ubisoft for your actions, what does that make you? I have not read anywhere that any employee of Ubisoft has put a gun to someone's head and forced them to post an sophmoric rant. The whinners (as you referred to yourself) make the choice to be whinners. JCC |

This forum needs less douchebaggery and more Billy Ocean.

Listen, its okay to voice your dissent.
But do not claim everything is okay. I am tired of people's selfish attitude that just because they don't have any problems with the DRM, it must be okay. Fact is, for the second time in 2 weeks, there has been a prolonged outage of Ubi's authentication servers (confirmed by UK service rep).. and now we learn that the first outage may have in fact been due to Ubi's own server problems, not a DOS attack which they were so quick to blame. Just because things are fine in your little universe doesn't mean that everyone else should just suck it up and take whatever is rammed up their rear end. And BTW, who cares if Ubi listens or not. People are complaining to make their feelings known and so that maybe others will not make the same mistake (referring to people who bought the game and can't play it).. Go check out the Ubi forums. Again, if you didn't have any problems, great here's a cookie  But that doesn't justify this system. PS - Fanboy is not a "name". Its an accurate descriptor for certain types of behavior, much like you use the word "whiner" to refer to people that choose to speak out. |
Okay, I'm going to step in with my patented "Anti-Argument" argument, because I love good debate, and very little of this qualifies.

I'm not buying the game until the DRM is gone, which may be never. But I do feel for the people who can't play it. It doesn't make me feel superior, it just ticks me off. Quote:

It's not what you say, it's how you say it. Yes, I think you troll sometimes. As does Drtechno. As does Brag, as much as I like him. As do a lot of folks. These forums are not being ruined; not by a long shot. But they are being dragged down, by everybody who starts threads just to boast, or attack, or even argue. If you don't like a thread, ignore it. It will go away faster if you do. Now I'm going back to whining because I can't play anything at all.:wah: |

If $50 bucks hurts when you spend it?
Why are you buying games to start with? :hmmm: And why start threads such as this? Your just sending more relevent threads down. :nope: |
