That actually happened to me while playing. I kept yelling 'let me in!!!' as the U-boat dove, but no one would unlock the hatch. Bastards. :rotfl2:

Only about 95% of people think the game is FUBAR, so I wouldn't worry about going back to SH3/4...least you can enjoy the game. Right now this is an unplayable arcade joke, no way a serious player could enjoy it.

Well, I have decided to reinstall SH5 and give it another try. I will also be releasing some more SH5 mods. :smug:

I was about to suggest reinstalling. A patch should come soon and we need all the Beta Testers we can get =))

It really is annoying to see nice features that were never finished. My only fear is that the team might've been pulled for another title. We might never see those things finished :wah:.

I really hope you are wrong about that. :o There are many broken hard-coded things that modders cannot fix.

I know that, but I'm talking from experience. UBM never received a patch for the unusable Notepad. Neither was the Hydrophone Volume method implemented (and it still isn't! even though the manual states that you can change the volume). There's even one image showing an Active Skills button bar near the bottom of the screen.

If this were Bethesda I might be more optimistic about it... But right now I'm scared. The game clearly shows the devs meant business. Let's just hope they're able to finish the job. If they can, it might be something like the Gibraltar repair section of Das Boot. If they don't, it will be St. Nazaire air raid all over again :haha:

Well, after giving SH5 a long second chance, I have to say after much disgust I have uninstalled for good this time. Not worth the time or effort anymore in my opinion. The design and state of SH5 is like a slap in the face to all those dedicated players of SH3 and SH4. It's now obvious UBI was targeting the younger audience with totally dumbed-down controls and pretty graphics for a quick profit. It is not the modders' job to fix or complete this broken, unfinished piece of ****. I wish all the best to the other modders here who want to spend the time trying to save SH5 (without getting paid to do it). Maybe that's what UBI had intended on in the first place- for the modders to finish and fix it for free. I will not be a part of that anymore. Good luck. I wash my hands of this dirty SH5. Back to SH3 and SH4 for me.

Like you Drifter, I give up....pulling the game together into an immersive and intuitive whole is frustrating and clumsy even with the great mods so far. I'd live with it though, if not for being unable to play it for hours the last two Saturdays and again yesterday because Ubi's servers were down ( and I don't care why they were down.......down is down ) That did it. I'm taking it back to GameStop. I'll buy it back when a more reasonable verification process is put in place.......sad.......

I'd think about taking mine back but I can't find my f'ng receipt :damn::damn:
