I'm getting that Username/password incorrect error now, just unacceptable, UBI should have better safeguards if this is indeed the result of a hacker attack. if this on the other hand has to do with UBI not being prepared for the amount of costumors that want to pålay the games then it is a f*ckup of epic proportions.....:damn:

what's a direct number to Ubi's technical support? Everyone should call and report that their game won't load and demand a solution. Whatever BS answer they give you tell them it's unacceptable and you want to speak to someone higher than them. Keep going up the chain until you get a righteous answer.

I just bought* the game and now I can't create an Ubi account in the game launcher. Probably the same problem you guys are fighting with.

*@ubi: to buy: to acquire the right to play SHV by paying you money

Ubisoft have told Eurogamer that yesterday’s DRM server outages were caused by external attacks, and that they did not affect 95% of players.
ah great to know I'm part of only 5%:yeah:
makes it a lot more bearable for me:yeah:

:timeout: anything that comes out of the mouth of a corporate executive or corporate PR person should be taken with a grain of salt. To me, they are just like politicians here in the US.....

Superb marketing by Ubisoft. A few people are ripping you off so you put in a system that protects your revenue by ensuring that all your customers are unhappy and never buy another one of your products again. The reaction of the hackers was predictable and Ubisoft are still responsable for the level of service.

This is my first post in a long time and I was going to make my come back with a detailed critique of the game but it's far simpler to say that it just sucks. Without the wonderful modding experts here it would be unplayable, if it was playable at all.

Have you read the reviews at Amazon and other places? Ubisoft have not made any friends with this one.

Ok, we knew it before and now we have proof: This kind of DRM is simply not working. ( I wonder which genius had the initial idea... )

SHV is my first PC Game in 5 years and nothing has changed... tweaking graphics card settings is one thing, not being able to log on another...

Hopefully this gets ported to PS3 / xBox, honestly.
Smart Input Menus make the two analog sticks very comfortable to select orders, might be a challenge to keyboard lovers at first, but at least you can enjoy what you paid for.

I'll just walk over to the living room and have another night of fun in Fallout3...

Couldn't find a Tech Support number, but the corporate numbers are:

US: 415-547-4000
UK: +44(0)1932 578 000

Numbers gotten from here: http://www.ubisoftgroup.com/index.php?p=62

Same problem here. You know why I like banging my head against a wall? Because it feels so good when I stop.:damn:

Same here.

Ubi... you just lost another customer.

i dont care if you sell blow job machines in the future... FORGET IT!

Oscarkeeper 03-08-10 03:09 PM

I just want to know how they calculated that only 5% of users have been affected. I didn't open a customer service ticket because I didn't think Ubisoft needed yet another person letting them know they their servers are down. Apparently you have to open a support ticket, or it didn't happen.

So, if you can't play right now, contact Ubisoft and let them know that you are indeed a part of the proud 5%! :yeah:

wetwarev7 03-08-10 03:11 PM

5% my left foot. Everyone knows 100% of all statistics are made up!

Georg_Unterberg 03-08-10 03:12 PM

same here.....:damn:

I have a new slogan for Ubi:

"Ubisoft - we let U play when WE want"
