SH5 v1.1 and morale plummets to 0 after a reload still.

Yeah, sadly I've found this out for myself. Fingers crossed for 1.02 soon :damn:

Could someone to explain if I can instal SH5 on another HDD rather than C:, please? I am asking because I keep my games on another drive.

CCIP 03-03-10 02:33 AM

I had no problem with this. Had it install to E:

Sure, just choose Custom install instead of Complete

Nope, the hydrophone is not working after the new patch. I installed the old display driver again, but it was the same. I hear ships engine, but no bearing on the hydrophone display ...

Hm, is there a way to unpatch the game again, or do I have to install the game again. I want my hydrophone back ...

Problem 2: In the following situation the player cannot access the UPlay rewards:

- The player has Windows Vista or Windows 7 installed
- Uses a standard user account (no admin rights)
- Silent Hunter 5 is installed in the c:\Program Files\Folder (to prevent this, the game is installed by default in c:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter5 – not in Program Files)
- In Windows Vista and Windows 7, the “Program Files” folder has special restrictions, that leads to this problem

Workaround: Don’t install the game into the “Program Files” directory

:haha::har::haha::har:

Thats just pure gold, the super-duper new system for revolutionizing our gaming experience and delivering a new level of service to customers, doesn't work on Windows 7 or Vista

Pure gold...

I wonder if those 'special restrictions' have anything to do with spyware, root kits or the likes... :hmmm:

It does work under Windows 7 or Vista. But not if you install them in the "Programm Files"-Folder. Wich is logical as there are admin-restrictions from Windows regarding that folder. So as a wise user you shouldn't and blame Microsoft and not UBI this time. ;)

I re-installed the game, didn't patch it, and now the hydrophone info is back :) Guess there was a hydrophonebug in the new patch after all.
The problem with when walking (in some compartments), the screen faded to black/ froze for 7-8 seconds, and then I could play some seconds, before it happened again is now gone.

I confirm, hydrophone is buggy in the first patch. Only a blank notebook comes up on the left hand corner, no way to turn the wheel or any info on sounds... there is no button to make it go away, somehow after a few minutes it just dissappeared..

Use the mouse wheel to rotate

Oh, how innovative.
Thanks for the tip though

Well, you people have fun with the patching stuff. I shamll wait till they are done "messing witz ur gamez"
The devs would have needed wayyy more time to test these things.
and this all BEFORE release day. Wow.

create, test, deliver, repair bugs found during test.

what a shame.

i wish it could be different.

I really miss clicking on the dial to rotate. Using the mouse wheel is downright carpel tunnel inducing.

Aye me too, that was my favorite way to do it. I only used the mousewheel to fine tune it.

But.. there are still hotkeys for turning it - Home & End keys.
