lol whats the project atm?

ETR3(SS) 02-16-10 09:54 PM

Trying to get the periscope and the periscope fairing to raise separately but at the same time.:damn:

Krauter 02-16-10 09:56 PM

for the 688i?

Sorry but what is the difference between the periscope and the fairing?

ETR3(SS) 02-16-10 09:59 PM

A periscope fairing is the teardrop shaped thing that goes around the periscope to reduce drag and help prevent damage to the scope itself.

EDIT: Here's a picture for everybody.

Ahh OK I get what you mean, so for example on the 688i mod its the, for lack of a better description.. white tear shaped area before the actual scope head with the random black splotches? One last thing, what are these splotches used for :s?

ETR3(SS) 02-16-10 10:25 PM

Those random splotches are camouflage.

Sledgehammer427 02-16-10 10:53 PM

wasn't "First and Finest" the Nautilus' motto?:hmmm:

ETR3(SS) 02-16-10 11:11 PM

And the Ohio too.

EDIT: never mind Ohio is "Always First"

So Russian submarines will or not? :06:

ETR3(SS) 02-17-10 12:06 PM

Russian subs will be included. The extent of the details is unsure at the moment though.

Krauter 02-17-10 12:13 PM

How do those splotches manage to camouflage the scope :06:

Ahh ok makes sense :) I always thought the black splotches were part of the photonic masts.. then I remembered only Seawolf and Virginias have those :haha:

ETR3(SS) 02-17-10 12:22 PM

Actually only the Virginia has the new photonics masts if I remember correctly. They may have added them to the Seawolf class.

I am working on the Akula and the Graney class as of now. There is a possibility of the Alfa.
