Hi guys

Just aquick question, im just starting to play Sh3 again after a couple of years out, Im building up my mods which included OLC's Gold Mod. Thing is, I really liked your water colour Makman and was wandering if I enable this mod will I lose all OLC's GUI tools? I want your enviroment but OLC's Attack Disc's etc and LRT.

hello Rasher, you can run M.E.P v2 on top of Olc gold ,you will not 'lose' anything of Olc's gui.
M.E.P is only an environment mod,the only thing that you will 'lose' is the work that Olc have done in order the ships to 'hiding' when they are far deep in horizon

Thanks Makman:yeah:

This is great news, So what are the other main differences between your Env and OLC's Env? I have also set up Nhancer as you suggested in earlier posts.

Post more please? Different weather conditions, too!

P.S. You said you changed all the colours... I assume you know the colours directly affect sensors... my question is, how much did you change the night colours (in other words, how much different are the AI visual sensors at night)?

thank you for your comments OLC ! THEY ARE REALLY VALUE FOR ME !

i am preparing an update for M.E.P v2 that will include this 'new' bad weather colors and after that i will post at the OP screenshots (some people are already taking pics to sent me and i will collect some good ones to post)

i said i changed ALMOST all the colors.the colors at night are untouched becuase i don't know their effectiveness at sensors.note that the ambientlightcolors's values are untouched at every situation

M.E.P v2.1 is out !

Just wanted to thank you Makman.
I've been taking a break from Uboats for a few months, but I saw this and just had to give it a try.
Have been running it for a few days . Seen every weather variation, from dead calm to big storm and they all look beautiful!
And now Uboats have got their claws into me again, I'm starting another career. I'm back in the war boys :)

Seriously mate - outstanding job. Bad weather in particular is very atmospheric, and lovely to look at.

hello Java,

read carefully the post 24 there,it is a post of yours btw !
some people are working on that

makman94 09-22-09 09:39 AM

@ROBBYTHE SUB

its impossible to have these results with ''flat sun fix for gwx3'' on top of M.E.P !
i don't know what exactly you have done but please remove your pics (to avoid distractions) untill this issue is sorted out !
send me your mod list (with the correct order of enabled mods)
thank you

robbythesub 09-22-09 11:37 AM

Hi Makman

Ok have removed pics and will pm you with my list of mods! ;)

jaxa 09-22-09 11:51 AM

Makman94, your mod gives second life for SH3/GWX. Really outstanding job, it squeezes the last juices from old SH3 engine.

Only one thing will make me absolutely delighted - horizon fix included in MEP :DL.
