Hey while were on the topic, how did pop degrade into rap?

well... pop didnt turn into rap if I remember it right...

Rap has been around for awhile, but it has changed ALOT since it started!!!

The mainstream music industry has always sucked big time. I hated MJ and all his limp pop drivel, as well almost everything else that was on a mainstream label.

Luckily, Jello Biafra and his mates kept me sane.

I listen to a lot of older rock and also heavy. Lemmy from Motörhead is no spring chicken but he rocks out harder than most of these younger ones. Same goes for the guys in AC/DC. And I've always liked CCR and Steppenwolf.
