That sounds pretty cool, do you get to do a lot of travelling?

And don't worry, I'm definitely hoping to get another match in after this one :)

Yeah, there is a fair bit of travelling involved, but it's all from Ft.Worth to OKC and back. Take a train up there, stay a bit in the hotel, and then bring another one back. It's like a relay circuit.

So what's your vocation?

I'm a full-time student of political science, with a focus on Canadian defence policy and maritime security.

Are we done Lance? I wouldn't object to starting fresh if you were interested.

UnderseaLcpl 09-06-08 10:22 PM

No, sorry. I've just had my plate a bit full over the past few days here. Work, fixing the f%#&@*&!! sprinkler system, trying to learn some chess from sky and Letum, doing my ex-gf's online college tests and homework, it gets a bit taxing.
It may interest you to know that I'm working on her political science class right now. Would you mind if I PM you with a few questions?

I'm trying to incorporate some of the lessons I've learned about chess into an overall strategy. I promise I'll have a move for you soon. It really is a deep game, that requires a lot of analysis.

I may resign soon, so we can start anew, but I have one last thing I want to try. Maybe. I'm still working on it.

However, I would accept a forced resignation if you want to have a rematch now.

fatty 09-06-08 11:06 PM

No worries my friend, whatever works best. I'm happy to keep playing, put it on pause for a bit, start over... whatever you'd like. I only asked because the thread slid over to the second page and I've been watching you play in Sky's thread and hoped you hadn't forgotten about me ;)

Please feel free to PM me, I certainly don't have all (or most) of the answers but I can do my best to find them and would be happy to help.

I'll have some questions for you by the middle of next week. Her class is getting into Federalism right now, and the prof hasn't put all the lectures on the website yet. Thanks in advance for the help, though:up:

Ok, I got your PM, will keep checking back.

Never, under no circumstance, will any knight ever move from e7 to c5. ;)

fatty 09-07-08 02:28 PM

Did you mean c6 lance? That was the move I was expecting and, oddly enough, the move I actually played on my board.

Argh. Yes, I meant c6. I should pay more attention. I'm not surprised that you expected that move, since I have so few options now.

Saw that one coming too, I bet.

BTW, fatty, baggygreen said he is looking for an opponent, so...!?

fatty 09-08-08 10:30 AM

Got it, thanks Sky!
