Living in Germany i know the AOTD site and the targets. Like in Subsim.com you will find a lot of german people loving the same sim as we all do. The Subsimulation.

The AOTD Clan is known for their Multiuser Mods, where they try to get the same plattform for all members to play multiuser netscenarios.

They never has sold any Mods, neither given foreign Mods as their own Mods.

I do not see any problems in making Modcompilations with different Mods if the credits are well given.

A lot of german people, still the older ones who like subsims, are not very conform in the english language. So they do not visit the subsim.com.

With AOTD they will be able to try our Mods an enjoy them.

My target as Modder is to give the people the possibilty to make better this sim i love.
And for me it is equal, which skin color or which language the user have.

There is only one thing i do not want: Don't make money with my work. (If yes, don't forget to give me some bucks ;))

-sorry for my bad english-

I think you mis-construed my motive.

The answer may be a "no, not at this point, we will have one once it is released". But that is merely an assumption as I clearly need to re-state my question.

Probably best if I wait until you release. The only German I deal with in RL is more interested in drinking beer and having a feed than translating game sites. Nice vid BTW.

You have to wait until release right, cause there is no way te get the readme earlier.
We cant write an readme until we sorted out the kind of mods we wanne use for ouer modpack.
I think this is logical isnt it ?

Well, I thought it was a fair enough question considering you are already advertising components. Laugh all you want max.

Is it just me or is their website now just a pretty graphic with non functional links?

Browsing in Safari if that makes any difference.

iricund 03-11-08 05:58 AM

Ah. Cancel my last. Seems as though the actual buttons are just way out of alignment with the graphic. I found them eventually down and to the left after some frandom clicking.

It looks like this is a totally legitimate venture. My apologies to the AOD guys for suggesting otherwise. The way the trailer on You Tube looks, it brought back bad memories of the retailed Silent Hunter III mod pack which ripped off the hard work of modders here and then sold those mods as a packaged product.

I'm happy that this is not the case here. Once again, my apologies to the AOD Guys. :D

Thanx for your apologies !

WOW, a serious case of mis-identity:o. We had you hung out to dry:oops: Sorry mate but hey, you can see how we look out for our own.

And the lesson here is not to put two and two together and come up with five...like I did. I visited the AOD Forum/Website and these guys are all about the right stuff.

I think we have a new friendship and alliance...so something good came out of this.

With that, unless there are any objections, I will close the thread. :D
