I have no idea what you are talking about. AFAIK, there's nothing, atleast official, releases made for 1946 except patches. Are you propably confusing it to the upcoming 4.09 patch, which adds new maps etc.? Any link to this bonus pack?

I can't stand the way the crappy add-on makes my captains logs and buttons look cool. I hate the way wounded guys look wounded when on deck. I really can't stand the awesome new screen that tells you exactly what all the weapons and equipment do in detail. Basically, the whole new retro fit, with all it's excellent additions just makes me want to puke :p
