Do you mean the range/aob finder? Did you check that manual targetting is ticked in the realism options?

Thx you solved the problem.

I some times shoot manualy ,sometime use crew help so I don't check manual targeting.

Anyway around this.

The mod isn't really designed with such play in mind :hmm: but yes, actually, there is a way around it if you really want.

Download the Set Keys program if you haven't already. Enable my mod and then use Set Keys to assign a keyboard shortcut to the WE Firing Solution command. Load the game, go into realism options and tick Manual Targetting and untick No Weapons Officer Assistance.

Now, when you play, you can use the kb shortcut to get a firing solution from the WE, or you can use the tools to do one yourself.

Great work on this mod!

As a testament to the accurateness of this mod, I just took my longest shot in 100% realism -- 3600 meters 120 AoB, medium cargo traveling 4 knots, aiming for the bow of the ship. Torpedo 2.5 meters depth, fast running, impact pistol, torpedo impacted on the very tip of the bow.

While I'm sure others have achieved longer shots, this is my personal best. :D

Checked manual targeting , still silver thing sits above peri.

I can't get the tutorial to play either.

This just isn't my day :D

To watch the tutorial, you may need to install DivX codecs. These are very easy to find. Probably www.divx.com will have them, otherwise google.

When you say the silver thing is just sitting there... you did click on it, right?

:sunny:

If it's a lot of work, don't worry. 103mb/276mb 7.7kbps, 6:00 remain and after a point changing mirrors will take just as long.

I think a few ISP's do their morally questionable thing of throttling traffic from that site. Haven't seen many complaints around here though.

Hi OLC,

I too have tried downloading from Filefront - and getting speeds under 10kbps - and I'm on a 10MB connection.... :damn:

Filefront has often been extremenly slow, but it keeps disconnecting now as well. Please can it be uploaded to a faster mirror?

Thanks!

I am not talking about divx codec but about finding the link to download the tutorial.

hi onelifecrisis,

at first, i have to admit big thanks to you, really nice mod! i dont know, if my question was discussed yet, lets see...
in your video, you updated the TDC by toggling the dialbar off and on. Why you didnt use the "Toggle TDC autoupdate" function, which is foundable in the commands.cfg. i use your mod in this way: i left the TDC in automode, but when i want to update the tdc (because i want to put in new data), i switch to manual mode. after updating the dials (new distance for example), i switch back to automode by pressing this button again.?

Though that probably didn't affect the dud - the range setting doesn't affect the trigger IIRC.

I wonder if it would have still hit with the right setting? :hmm: Well feck it, I don't think there is any debate over whether the tools really work

It's probably that the short range caused the gyroangle to increase a fraction of a degree further port. So by the time the torp reached the correct distance it moved further aft. Then getting bounced off on the curvature of the prop area. Atleast, that's what happend with me alot when had bad aims (not with the Ujagd tools). But you didn't have that torpedo camera on so we'll never know.
