Some most unusual shots, some I've seen before here on SS. By the way where is Estland, I looked up in Philip's Great World Atlas & it's not there?

Nope :D

Estland is the Germanic tongue for ''Estonia''
;)

Reece 10-20-07 04:09 AM

Oh well there you go!! Pardon my ignorance Admiral.

I try to avoid using the name Estonia because of a ship carrying the same name sinking in the Baltics, i was on it a few months before it went down. Thats the reason i use the germanic name for my country when not speaking in estonian. For us natives the country is Eesti.
Though officialy the international name is still Estonia.

You are one lucky fellow! kinda scary though, hope there was no one aboard you knew, even so you would remember the cabins, decks etc, very heart breaking.
Hope you don't suffer too many nightmares, I think I would.:dead:
Cheers.

There was some distant relative on board who went down as well as a friend of mine. No nightmares, but yes, i still remember the ship very well. I was only 8 when it hapened so it didnt really sink in back then and when i actualy realized what had happened was a bit later and i didnt find it too difficult to deal with. Thank you for your concern though.
Anyway on the return voyage from Sweden we were allso in a storm of sorts, most fun i have ever had on a ship. Me and my father enjoyed it, but my younger brother, sister and mother were all seasick, guess i got my old mans sea legs.
