The most enjoyble thing .... after 3,5 hours of dephcharging.... is to go to periscope depth and fire torpedo at your enemy, and then ....... waching how that s.n .. .... is slowly sinking and blowing into pieces:yep:

Sometimes, when I'm hunted and it seems they are losing me, I hit blow ballast and make a 'dolphin jump' so they spot me again and I get some more charges after me. :p |
Nope.....
"Torpedo impact" |
i also love giving orders right after an atack or evasion from aircraft or escorts etc. "Ahead flank, crash dive, 5 degrees starboard!!" Ah the rush of doing these things quickly

getting to press the "C" button ;)
Have a nice day :) |
Returning from a rough patrol in the dark, fog and rain, then that first glimpse of the lighthouse off the coast... Is there a smell mod, maybe like a scratch and sniff thing where you could smell the grass and pine trees through the ocean mist from a few miles off the coast? Man, what those guys must have endured. My hat's off to veterans from all countries.

It's strangely satisfying to imagine having humiliated all the superior escort ships and their masters by routinely sinking a good sum of tonnage under their protection regardless of their innovative measures. That I have become the black plague of the sea and there are worried fat old men somewhere desperately trying to find a cure while I have personally crippled their supply of alcohol. :|\\

My fav has to be the satisfying sound of a Torpedo slaming into the side of... well just about anything.
The part I hate the most about all WW2 subsims... Knowing after playing SH3 and the problems i have with the torpedos in the Altantic i'm just going to have to deal with them again in the Pacific :damn::damn::damn::damn: Damn the Torpedos! :rotfl: |
Calm and sunny day, many merchants and cannon full of ammunition...thats my favourite conditions.
|
My favourite part of SH3 is sitting on the bridge with the console hidden and a cup of coffee by my keyboard in rough seas, especially when there are ships in sight. If they're friendly, often I'll calculate an intercept and see how close I can pass them with out course corrections for the last few KM. Nothing beats looking up at a big ship that's heaving in the swell less than 100 meters away. Nothing about the game is more immersive for me, except perhaps being pinged by a DD. But evading thier wrath is equally satisfying. I'm also a big fan of the 88mm deck gun, but I rarely get to use it.

For me it's that moment when a torpedo hits a target where I aimed it to hit it. In particular when I'm in a convoy attack situation and the target is really sweet like a big tanker or something like a battleship. :arrgh!:
