Me too!
I'm more than 100% sure I'll be happy when I have it, which with a little luck should be any day now. I like the change of scenery. From what I understand we'll be sailing from Pearl where the weather usually is a lot nicer than Kiel or Brest later on was for me in SHIII. I've seen my share of rain, fog and thunderstorms, even an ice berg on one occasion, and now it's time for catching some sun. :smug: |
At least it isn't:
Silent Hunter 4: War of the Bath-tub. Where you play as a little kids toy submarine and have to sink the toy boats... "Soap in the water!" "FLANK SPEED!, HARD TO PORT!!!" "Were taking damage sir, major flooding!" "Blow balast!" |

Getting back on topic...General Dynamics owns Electric Boat Company, who has been building most of the US Submarines for the past 80 years or so. GD takes a very good approach to licensing its products, all it requires is the company to donate to the "Toys-for-Tots" program run by the USMC for permission to use its products for toys or Models. There is a local model importer who is trying to get Congress to pass a law that defense contractors cannot collect royalties on DOD bought equipment. Its still working its way though Congress the last time I checked. |

That run-on sentence is breathtaking. You are hereby permitted to use punctuation :) |
