Are you using 1.1.4? I think the click function you are looking for in the observation scope was added in 1.1.5 (which is also darker). As for the displayed target speed I don't know what you refer to. It used to be displayed where?

NealT 01-17-08 06:42 AM

The speed is not displayed on this mod I do not believe. It used to be in the upper right corner before you installed the mod...

I miss it as well...but I love the mod and can live without it...

danurve 01-17-08 05:26 PM

Yes I am running 1.1.4, GWX 1.03.

NealT is correct about where the speed/knots was displayed. Right about where the Ujad tool is now. And so for those going for realism/manual targeting theme I could understand that. I'm just thinking while it might not look right maybe there is a tweek for personal use so the speed would display. Of course that may affect both scopes and the uzo view. So maybe not, that's the way it goes as they say.

Storabrun 01-18-08 02:22 AM

How does the TDC work in auto-targeting, maybe you can see the speed there?

Btw, I installed 1.1.5 yesterday and I must say I like this darker version better:up:

I found the darker GUI of 1.1.5 unreadable in daylight situations (means, daylight in RL without shades, and daylight in the game) and pretty good at night (when you play in a dark room AND it's night in the game). in the other cases it was too dark for me.

i went back to 1.1.4 for now.

yeah, i know how it must feel OLC... ;-) everyone complaining about anything, it's a modder's life

@siara/nikuta: will you post that big-compass slide-out addition? would be really nice

U49 01-18-08 03:26 PM

dark/light .... maybe some more research

I feel the difference in the reception of dark/light may have it's cause in CRT/TFT setups of users...

@OLC maybe a kind of poll would help?

a) I like dark, have CRT
b) I like dark, have TFT
.... and so on

by the way: I like dark and have TFT

Abd_von_Mumit 01-18-08 04:24 PM

What are those CRT and TFT things? :hmm:

I wonder - is the vanilla SH3 night/day GUI switch lost in OLC? Even in the nav. map view I don't see any difference between night and day, and before the map used to switch to dark after sunset. That was very useful.

Maybe it would be possible to have both the dark and light versions that would switch on sunrises and sunsets?

Monitor types ... the constuction details usually make the difference betweeen an old "brick-style" cathode ray tube or the more modern elegant thin-film-transistor style monitors...
They usually differ in their lumination qualities

Wip: 1.1.6

As I said I can never get the red/green/yellow lines in the range/aob finder quite right for my liking, but I've found a setting which for me is better than the current 1.1.5 colours in most scenarios, so that'll be in 1.1.6.

Also in 1.1.6, Joe's new range/aob finder from U-Jagd 1.3 :D (excellent work Joe!)
Credit to him and thanks for the permission to use it :)

Also in 1.1.6, if the poll comes out in favour of the dark version, will be a darker navmap screen (not a night filter but a permanent darkening akin to the rest of the interface).

Finally I hope to fix any incorrect mast heights, so:

CALLING ALL HELPFUL PLAYERS OF THE OLC GUI

Please tell me of any incorrect mast heights you've found in the GWX 2.0 version, and corrected values will be included in 1.1.6. Thanks in advance!

This post will be kept up-to-date with a list. So far I'm aware of:
-Medium Tanker

Where do I find the tutorial video

I've been using the links to your video tutorial and when it's finished downloading all I get is a .rar file with a word document in it.

I like what I see from your post and would like to see the video to get a good understanding of how it works.

Thanks OLC your help is appreciated,

That's a new one on me. Umm... what are you using to open the .rar file?

Blue_Ninja63 01-18-08 05:25 PM

WinAce is the program that i'm using..would 7zip be better as I have that also. Thanks for your quick response.

onelifecrisis 01-18-08 05:28 PM

Try WINRAR (it's free, and it's what I used to pack the file). I don't know if it'll work but I'm honestly stumped by your problem. :hmm:

How many times did you download it?
